self destory power and log out

Not sure if there's a way to macro it; but if you log out to desktop/login, you can click on Self Destruct (and a number of other things) without interrupting the timer.

I'd suggest hitting it when the logout timer is at around 11 or 12.

You can activate any power or macro while logging out as long as you don't click them rapidly. You can can change targets, buff, debuff, self destruct, fire off attacks at enemies already in range, trigger macros, click on doors or other interactive objects and just about anything that involves clicking on something on the screen; anything except commands/macros that make the character move from where they're standing. You can, however, toggle off flight powers and drop out of the sky while the logout timer is counting down if you want. Just remember that clicking things rapidly will cancel the timer.

I can come up with a reason. This sort of activity reeks of griefing.

Other players before have used logging out + activating powers in order to grief various zones, such as dominators / controllers logging out or disconnecting while in Pocket D with their pets spawned, causing the pets to go active and attack opposing players.

Even if that's not your intent, there might be one or two applicable exploits to be found in combining certain power usages with logging out / disconnecting at the right time.

Speaking for myself, I am a bit puzzled as to why somebody would want to log out on a self-destruct and log back in to find themselves dead. If I wanted to do that, I'd go trigger the log out after jumping into Lusca's arms.

Theme/roleplay? And maybe because SD incurs zero debt, while Lusca does?

Timing the logout with the Pocket D teleporter is always fun.

(shrug) Probably because you're asking how to do something that can be annoying to other players. Setting it up as a macro suggests you plan to use it a lot. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to set up a macro to auto-fire my healing aura every time I go into Wentworth's......

It IS kind of annoying when someone plants themselves next to an auctioneer, then explodes while logging out(I'd bugged it many times until I learned it was being done deliberately). The novelty wears outs quickly. It starts to remind me of a spastic child, who has had too much sugar, and vies for attention: "lookitmelookitmelookitme!"

It's automated annoyance. I'd rather that people griefing would have to expend at least a little effort.
