Character Creator
That would be nice. Then everyone would leave Champions to come here : D. Well, maybe only the poeple who like to make toons heheh. Oh Mr./Ms. developers come over here please! : D
sounds good, i don't like having only the same 2 colors.

There's a lot of stuff could be done to the costume creator to improve it. Not just the stuff mentioned, but things like;
*Tails available with belts
*Options for scars/tatoos without using a face/skin option
*Back details
*Leg details*
*Additional textures/effects
To name but a very few.
We just have to wait and see. I have a mild hope that GR might have some new gubbins in, but Im content with the goodness I know is coming for that, rather than what might come. It also leave the option of pleasant surprise
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Oh please, CO has been hemorrhaging customers as soon as the free time that came with purchase expired. It's so bad over there they started offering free reactivation weekends before the game was three months on the market. When STO goes live and the 6 month subs expire they're going to lose even more customers.
The ability to change the character's proportions would be pretty cool too, like in the other superhero MMO. However in that game, the proportions did make characters look quite deformed and felt a bit restrictive or wrong at times. Still. A bit more diversity in body-types would be pretty useful. Being able to emphasise the characters body to match their powers or concepts.
One thing I would like to see is a revamp of the character faces. At the moment all we have is a single, all-encompassing texture with a relatively small selection. (as far as facial diversity is concerned). Ideally, the ability to select different facial features individually, as well as colour tinting will help make characters and even some NPCs look more individualised.
You'd be able to select different brows, eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and chin and can be sourced from the original faces we have now. You could possibly have face 1's eyes while having face 2's lips or face 3's nose. All the appropiate facial features could be tintable to allow characters to choose what colour eyes, brows, lips...etc you want, instead of the baked colour eyes they already have.

That's one. Two is the technical challenge, which is NOT to be underestimated. Yes, Champions Online have something along those lines, and we've all see what that has led to - one face per gender. It's not even appropriate to talk about character faces there, because the game has a grand total of one character face, as in singular. One face. That's the price you pay for too much customization, because faces differ in a lot of ways. Just sticking on another those like you're wearing funny glasses is not an option, because that sort of thing LOOKS BAD even from afar. And I can guarantee you right now - such a system would SEVERELY limit the full variety of faces it can produce, and I rather don't want to have to do like I did in Champions and try to hide my face so it's not all the same all the time.
Eye customization would definitely be cool, but our faces don't have enough detail for that to matter, and even if they did, not all of them have eyes.

I've also got a Dominator who gets by on being deathly pale, but would dearly love to have the Zombie skin underneath her Leather top...

Also, we really need 'pattern auras' so we can make that circuitry pattern glow along with the others! It's something I've been asking for since I joined the forums
I'll be the first to admit that while I love our Character Creator, it needs a lot of work.
Polygons need to be smoothed out. I was once suicidal at some point in my lifetime and thought about cutting my wrist with my character's cheekbone.
We need armor and generally all manner of clothing that doesn't look like body paint. I'll admit, Champions Online did the 'Chest Layer' thing exceptionally well, despite having so few attractive layers to work with.
Eye features. This was far more engaging than I thought it would be; being able to color my own eyes, or give them different, odd textures. Think of Supernatural Face #13.

Another thought I had was concerning the 'glove' options. Many of those are bare skin underneath which in some cases limits creativity. Having a new option for forearm customization would mean that (for example) we could have small padded gloves over tights, or monstrous fur skin, or tattoos, or whatever else we might want.

1. Can we get auras to be split into piece-mealable sections that correspond to Head, Gloves and Torso?
2. Also, any chance of getting asymmetrical costume design... at least for Shoulders and Gloves? 3. The option of having standard, metallic and faint glow for design patterns? 4. Finally, the ability to dual-layer design patterns on costume parts? |
#3. Check... kinda.
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"

CoHBABs Did some testing on separating tails from "Belts" category. Results are promising. |
This one I like, because it's sort of like allowing characters to have their own tattoos regardless of costume pieces worn. To use the existing patterns as tattoos or to include new ones that resemble real tattoos, even if they're baked, untintable textures.

less of a problem for male characters, I suppose.

I just want options for long hair with all hats!!! I mean come on... The jester hat is cute but as a girl toon do I want to be BALD???? NO!!! The top hat is almost bald... How hard would it be to just give 2 hair options for each hat one long one short but it drives me crazy when you can have a chick toon with Long hair and some of these hats... and the Super cute witch hat that you have to combine the two toned hat colors bleeding to the hair... Can't use it cause if I want a normal non pukey hair color the hat has to have Messed up colors and the rest of the outfit too unless you don't wanna match... CO had alot of cool options for the costume creator.... In fact a few of their things would have been cool if it was on COV but being it was on CO... LOL after playing for about 3 years I want some more options my toons are all starting to look alike.
