I guess the question (possibly for the devs) is: what's up with that? I thought this was explicitly barred by Ouro in general. Is it not?

Yeah, I thought so, too, til someone said they did it and I tried to replicate it and did.

Either it was entered into the Crystal by mistake, or, it was entered incorrectly, or, someone forgot to gate the mission with a minimum level cap because they forgot about Base Crystals and thought the minimum gate to Ourobros would take care of things, or, there's a gas leak at Paragon Studios.

I ran it via Ouro last week and it was really fun. They did a great job with the update. I didn't even pay attention to how much influence I made from it, I was running it to check out the arc. I ran it a second time to show some friends how cool it was. Plus it was something "new" to do on my main.

Tonight I ran it with some friends again from the City Rep. After it, she immediately offered up the Aura mission.

But after the Aura mission.. nothing..

It is not repeatable from the City Rep.

I would wish they would either make it repeatable from the City Rep or put it back in the L46-50 Ouro section. If an expoit is possible, nerf the reward or lock it at L46.. whatever is needed..

I just want to be able to run the really great arc at any time on my main character! 50s need more to do, and this was a great addition to our limited list.

Well the issue with getting a cape to early is kinda silly, if people recall that you get capes for buying the Mac version of the game and both the collectors editions of the game. So for people to cheat to get a cape before lv 20 is lame.

It'd be real interesting if in running both missions, you get two cape options at the same time. Double Capes? heh

without reading all the responses - it struck me as odd that the Ouroboros mission was in the 40s. (Took me ages to find it.)

Allowing everyone to access the mission via the City Rep makes more sense, and allows you to have your cape and eat it!

Hate to burst your bubble and spin yr penny but...
Collectors capes are only accessable after the lvl 20 cape mission.
Except for on the bugged magic cape. the only other capes from lvl 1 are the valk and SoA ones.

Devs... FYI there is also a bug difference between Male and Female versions of the Magic High Collar cape.

The cynical part of me wants to say that this was the issue...

However, I just got off running it and it was very well done. Nice map (haven't done Reichman yet so this was my first time seeing it), more info on Justin Greene and Tub Ci, and a bit of insight on Hero 1's personality.

As far as bugs are concerned, the City Rep said the capsule was inside the building and down the hall but the mission door was outside in another building (Hotel Geneva intriguingly enough). Running around, I found a door in the G.I.F.T. area that could be used as the mission entrance (71.4 -784.0 -1025.6) plus there were several scenic doors that aren't clickable but would make sense for being the entrance if they could be easily converted such as 231.5 -768.0 -640.9

[QUOTE=Emerald_Fusion;2457110]There was no way it could be exploited by anyone below L20, because it was in the L46-50 Ouro section...QUOTE]

Actually it could be exploited by a level one toon... they just needed a level 46 plus friend to invite them to a team.... and a Piller of Ice and fire in an SG base the low level could enter.

I thought it rather odd this was a possiblity which I why I posted this the first day the new cape mission was available.

I'm glad the Dev's took swift action to preserve their concept of earning a cape at level 20.

They should lower the cape mission to level 14 when you know you can actually start flying. Where did they come up with level 20 for the cape unlock there is no rhyme or reason other then some random number out of a hat that I can tell.

Before they extended the maximum level to 50, 40 was the max level, so then 20 was the midway.

And the veteran single shoulder capes unless i'm horribly mistaken.

Here's the thing though, out of all the Oz missions in the 45-50 range it was the only one that even allowed a lowbie to sk into it. The rest of the missions won't let you start at all. I honestly thought it was working as intended.
Is it that far a stretch to think, after the capsule has been opened, that a mentor couldn't teach his apprentice the reason that capes were special?
Meh, would have been nice to keep it, but lvl 20 isn't so hard to reach these days anyway.

Maybe this was a bug the devs were cape-able of fixing quickly!!!!!

That is a little odd that it worked. I've tired to "exploit" the base crystal before to see if I could get a lowbie team to do the Maria Jenkins arc for fun, but it won't let you start the arc if anyone on the team is below the minimum level. I don't know why the cape mission would be any different.

Wait, so you can't even do missions even if you can get into Ouro itself? For example, the Battle for TV missions and stuff, unless you're the right level?

If so, colour me bloody furious

Nice work on the new mission Devs.
Have a little trust in them, they SHOULD know whet they are doing

it was the halfway point originally.

The early CoX development idea of carrot on a stick was earning your generic title at 15, the cape at 20, a secondary origin-based title at 25, and then your superawesome Aura at 30 to really show off in Atlas Park costume contests. And of course the 30s unlocked your primary and secondary's strongest power picks. Well, in theory at least...not every set had their best stuff located at the bottom of the power list. And then some overpowered Epic Pools came with that level cap raise.

If there's ever a CoX2 I hope they don't restrict capes and auras based off level again. Well, maybe restrict really cool ones. But, I mean, it was a running joke..a Skull shouts, "Look out, it's a Cape!" when you couldn't even wear a cape until 20 (or even funnier, before capes were even implemented). The competition didn't keep you from having a cape until you saved The City from being Destroid. They just locked the "cool" ones up in a bugged badges merchant.

You need to test these things in-game before making such statements because you're wrong.
And you should check your sarcasm detector... it's malfunctioning.

I still hope the arc is put back into Ouro somewhere, or made repeatable from the City Rep!
