My guess is WAI. I like the look on it. It makes it seem like a really sick villain tailor, and adds the creepy surreal feeling when you have to take it on. Don't repair the face, The Facemaker likes it that way!
I do remember the bug, and it was fairly widespread. This is localized and a bit spot on to be a coincidence. The faces don't look so much distorted, as intentionally placed...
We can walk now, why does it matter if the Facemaker can look however it wants?

She must've visited the Shadow Shard. All the stargate teams out there used to have that warped face. Of course, there were probably only about 10 people servers-wide that ever noticed. SS r popular place.
side-face is actually kind of awesome. It should be a bug that's hunted down and made into a real face choice--when you can't fix it, turn it into a feature working as intended!
