MA Super Team Starting and we want you!

Yeah, it's like the author tried and then fell off somewhere along the line. I'm almost masochistic enough to try to solo it on a higher level character since it seems like they were trying to do something but failed. Mish 4 might not have invoked as much hate if mish 3 didn't exist...

Also, I'll try to log on later to see if there was any response to the Sis Psy TF arc since there were small things about it that bugged me. However, I commend @Big Rab for the initiative and I'd like to see those quirks cleared up.

To be fair The Proving Grounds clearly stated in the arc description that it was designed as a kind of training room arc for VEAT super teams so I'm kind of impressed that we got as far as we did.

Really enjoyed the Sister Psyche abridged.

This Weeks Schedule:

Tuesday (Today) starting 6:00pm EST - MA Super Team Member Arc, we will randomly pick one of the member's that show up and they will get to choose which of their arc we all play. We did this last week and I know a lot of the people there, myself included, want the MA Super Team's feedback so we are doing it again.

Saturday Noon EST - Open Teaming. Maybe some of the Player's Choice arcs?

Sunday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

OzzieArcane, you have any planned teaming this week?

I have a couple alts in their 20s on Triumph. Haven't touched them in a while, but I'll try to make it to one of these events.

Four of us showed up for what turned out to be a very short run due to the unforeseen maintenance tonight. We had only thirty minutes and ran my arc:

Death to Disco! @Wrong Number ID#:84420

It was run through faster than we normally do because of the limited time, but we did finish it with two minutes to spare.

My scrapper's only like 14th right now and they've been letting him play since I created him so yes, no worries on level.

I wish I could have made it last Sunday but the group starts up about an hour before I have to hit the hay and Sunday I was just so wiped out by my usual get-up-way-early-to-see-the-GF schedule that all I was good for was some MST3K. :/ I have been itching to play this week though but what time I have online has been thrown away on starting another MA submission (two actually); so come Sunday I should be all rarin' ta go!

Me and Lithrei met at the MA this afternoon and we decided to run a few arcs. We did my Love Spurned arc first (Lithrei was curious about it, I am to scared to show it ).

After that scary run we choose a random 4 star arc.

The Paradox Raid #67566 by Echoslaid. A nice interesting arc to play for a dedicated evil wicked person who can stomach fighting on (his own) bad side in the 2nd Great War. Nice tidbits about English Soldiers as well. Worth checking out if you got a villain 30+.

Today we had a great turn out and did a "Make It of Break It" run. The arcs we ran were:

Paragon City Mad Science Fair by @GadgetDon Arc ID: 254399

Challenge of the Splendid Pals -- Episodes 1 - 3 (of 9) by @guvnor Arc ID: 159140

We started out doing Make It Break It, but the first arc was such a let down that we turned to a tried and true author for the second, which turned out great. The third arc was something I've been wanting to play for a while, and I wasn't disappointed at all. As I said in my comment to the author, I can't wait to play the rest.

Great team today. When's the next time? Sunday noon?

I believe Ozzie will be there to host a team at 8pm tonight.

We ran a few arcs from team members tonight.

First was Arc# 266123 ZAGMUCK Act one: The Herald by @Sumerian

Arc# 340274 Big Evil: Evil is Thicker than Water by @Ozzie Arcane

Arc# 2711 Whack a Mole! Where's Moldo Edition by @Bubbawheat

Thanks for running Whack-a-Mole, it was actually pretty fun on a team (though much easier), especially this version which has much more decoys spawning with a larger team.

The enhancement, inspiration and salvage racks in the MA Super Team base are for everyone's use. Any stuff in them are up for grabs as long as you can use it. As I have leveled I have placed some nice level 20ish+ SOs, IOs from nice sets I can not use as well as DOs and salvage in them. I have set everything so they can be used by anyone. A few, by mistake, were not set as such, but I have corrected this as of now.

Another great teaming event last night.

Thank you for running my arc, ZAGMUK Act One: The Herald. I hope it was enjoyable. The run-through gave me a fresh perspective on how some of the mechanics are working in a larger team setting (I'd previously only tested it to a max size team of 3) as well as narrowed down a few places where I could add more polish and clarify certain details.

Big Evil is an arc that has alot of potential but still rough around the edges. Ozzie asked for comments and feedback, and certainly got that! I'll be curious to see how the arc turns out in its next incarnation.

Today we had such good turn out we had to split into two teams for the first arc. We decided to select from new arcs recently posted here asking for feedback. We played:

Serious Business by @Artic Princess Arc ID: 339200

Healthcare Nightmare! by @Soberguy Arc ID: 345379

As usual we had lots of fun!

With Serious Business, it felt...unfinished...which is disappointing since it was enjoyable and felt like it was building up. If it is a 2 part arc, it should be stated as such, otherwise there should be another mish or two for closure.

While I like that you seemed to be trying to make the missions short and to the point, Mission 2 could stand to have more in it. Possibly have a named boss the player has to fight for the "password" and have the computer deactivated until then.

While I think I'm forgetting something, I don't remember any typos and I liked the contact. However, you might want to say you are paying for each mission rather than at the end since these are villains.

I'll pretty much second this - no problems of real note but it didn't seem to really start to cook and then go out with a bang, so to speak. Still, that puts it above say 7/10s of most of the clutter out there on MA, right?

One interesting thing I think I caught: we started playing this on an 8-man team, then a ninth showed up after we'd played the first mish out so we split into two teams. Team one kept going (I'm assuming) with mish two, but the second team, which I was on, played it from mish one again - and the map was different. That means that the map was just set for "random".

I find this interesting because actually, I'm not sure I've seen anyone do that yet - that I know of anyways. It actually made the experience feel different, at least sort of, even though it was "just another 'small' 'underground lab' map. I'm going to have to seriously look into doing this with my own future MA arcs, because that should prevent the endless salt mine of testing, re-editing and replaying from being quite so monotonous. Maybe I'm wrong and people are doing this all over the place, I dunno, but it seems to be worth mentioning here.

I like using random maps, at least for some missions, because then I can replay my own missions without always knowing where every objective is likely to spawn. Makes for higher replay value if you ask me. Then of course it can also lead to weird spawns, missing spawns and stacking spawns, so naturally your mileage may vary.

That's one thing I was thinking might happen if the mission has a lot of objectives. Still, it's worth looking into I think for the replay value.

Especially if you like to fill a map with as many details as possible. Not all maps in the Small/Medium/Large category allow the same amounts of all types of spawns.
