The dev communication has been great over the years and it really is a boon to the community. Whether it's War Witch's excitement over Hero Con, BackAlleyBrawler explaining in detail how the animation system works or Castle offering his rationale for a power change (whether you agree with it or not), they've always been very open and receptive.
There are always going to be disagreements and criticism -- it goes with the territory when you work on an MMO, which counts on a stable community of players for its very survival -- but the devs handle that stuff in stride. Okay, occasionally they might seem a little grumpy, but we're all just human.

I'm a fan. *shrug* I know this, but I'm also objective enough to know that, if the game weren't of sufficient quality, and the community not engaging enough, I wouldn't be here.
So let me add my sincerest thanks to everyone involved with the running of this game, and also to the folks on Pinnacle, particularly the FSSC crowd. It's a home away from home, even when I'm already "home," and I'm very grateful to have this game, and its people, in my life.

Sometimes I think we get caught up in "I want this, I want that" here on the forums, and forget the people behind the scenes working to make things happen for us. Thank you, dev team, for all the hard work you do, for listening to us, and for still loving us even when we're mean to you.
Also, whatever happened to Sunstorm? Base building forums miss him, give him back please. 
City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

Well put, Sapphire. I've often wanted to express some thanks to both the Devs and the community for so much enjoyment over the years, but wasn't sure how.
I don't get to play as much as I'd like and I'm not as creative as most folks, but the Devs are constantly *ahead* of my wish list. Most of the cool stuff they implement I haven't even thought of yet. Heck, I still haven't gotten to do a BSF yet.

I am somewhat saddened* by a couple of the tags that people have given this thread. I can't figure out if they're cowards for doing that and not having the courage to reveal themselves in the thread, or if they're smart for keeping their mouths shut. In any case I should probably be thankful, trolls would just derail the topic anyway.
*Not overwrought, mind you. Just disappointed that, while we have fewer trolls than most, we still have people so immature and spiteful. :[
That's why I felt the need to write the letter in the first place. It's usually the angry people who are the most out-spoken, I'm glad we've created an environment (at least in this thread) where the satisfied customers can speak out (and are doing so)!
Edit: LOL, thanks to whomever updated the tags, the new ones are hilarious! ;]
Adding my voice to the joyous chorus. This is hands down the best game I've ever played. When you considder that this game has lasted longer than many consoles, you start to get a feel for the level of quality the devs have consistently been putting out. Good work, and here's to many more years of quality gaming.

Whenever I've interacted with the devs in person at an event, or via E-mail, they've always shown a great deal of professionalism balanced with humor and "just one of us"-ness that I really enjoy. These guys and gals really are FANS of the game / genre / and dare I say "us" and they prove it every time they interact with us.
Yeah, I know some of the adjustments they've made haven't been popular with everyone, myself included (CURSE YOU ED!!!) but I do believe that the game we all love so much is in good hands.
And I can't WAIT to go ROGUE!!!

I mean, I, too would like to express my appreciation for the devs of this game. I've played nearly every big name MMO under the sun. Most didn't last more than the free month. Three of those lasted more than one year. City of Heroes... Well, I'd have my Five year anniversary badge by now if circumstances beyond my control had not dictated that I'd be unable to play for three months.
So I, too, would like to thank our developers for one of the best gaming experiences ever, and certainly the most entertaining MMO I've ever played. May this game continue for many years to come.
