Another reason for Warshades to not like CoT, looks like.

Dunno if this one's been mentioned yet but your character in the login screen will now display wearing the outfit they were wearing when you logged them out, no matter which costume slot it's in. Very cool.

City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

Arctic Air (controller/dominator) now shows the purple dot effect on confused enemies. Very nice to know who's on your side and who isn't.

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

I like this thread. A nice positive thread about ingame additions. Nice change of pace.

/e flip while flying does a new "in-air" flip rather than the old one where you stood on nothing. Also ends with a new idle pose.

I had a big problem in one of my AE missions with NPC allies and flight-- allied patrols would fly, but follow allies would not. The jerky motions associated with this started to make me think that it might be associated with the teleport animation bug. Whether it was or not (though I am curious), sure enough, it got fixed at the same time the teleport animation got fixed, and saved my arc.

...They also fixed a poorly placed exit point that made it a royal pain to complete an escort on a particular map in that same arc, so I get to remove the immersion-breaking warning text I was forced to add. I was really surprised at this fix, as I couldn't imagine it affecting that many people, but it meant the world to me. This one was actually documented, which only bolstered my appreciation for this minor tweak.

And then, of course, in power customization I got the one feature that I had wanted more than anything else since the day I started playing, and one that I had (mostly) given up on due to the mammoth task of implementation.

...This was the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.

And now I'm BACK from a work trip to New Orleans (though there are worse places for work trips ) that took me out of town the day after I-16 went live (GAH!).

Time to get busy. I've got to catch up with all you guys.

Awesome, I often changed around the order of my costumes so the one displayed on the log in screen represented my favorite costume for that character. Glad I wont have to waste the Inf anymore

The Taunt for Dark Melee on Tanks now makes a Taunt sound. Also noticed while playing my Shield/Axe Tank that the Taunt sound is different and if you are holding both your shield and axe when taunting they make a metal on metal clanging sound.

Mace and shield does the same thing, the character points their mace at the enemy then bangs it upon their shield. I thought maybe i just hadn't noticed this before or always been interrupted.

That's been in the game for ages. Ever since they added particle physics support, at least.

You should see what happens if you use Fly near them.

I thought that this was a new thing... but wasn't sure if I had just forgotten about it.

When was the hostage/escort marker added to the map? Gold addition as you can now see when you lose them.

I thought that was added last issue.

It was, also goes for npc allies

They added a sound effect when turning on Acrobatics to match the dodging animation (whuff - whuff).

Also corrected is the NPC chat using "Character Name" which was using the placeholder "Rescuer".

I also noticed that the machinery in the sewers (the rusted out wall machinery with the old panels, switches and dials) has a 'pump' sound coming from inside it. That may have been added previously as I usually don't hang around beside it for too long.

A user posted that two devs they chatted with at PAX a couple of weeks ago confirmed that there will be an enhancement that when you're down to 10% of enemies left in a map, or 10% of required glowies are left, they'll show up on your map. That will be SO good for kill-all missions, and those redside "plant the bomb" missions. The devs didn't say when that will go live, only that it's in the works.

A couple others I saw today while running around on Striga Isle:

1) Some of the Council that were fighting Banished Pantheon are now doing these kinda funky ninja moves (and at least one was doing the 'mez' emote)

2) While flying into the Council base, I saw a squad of Council marching in place, while a leader was going "Hooo! Hooo!" and they'd turn from facing forward to facing left, all the while marching in place.

3) Banished Pantheon, Vahz, and Stricken are all doing the Frankenstein walk.

4) The shakedown victims and the Tsoo in Talos appear to be doing new animations as well, not just the "cower" emote.

5) Last but not least... the War Walls look different when you get up close to them (the big glowie panels, not the base of the walls).

I don't see any difference with the War Walls? What's different about them? You were on Striga, do you mean the zone wall? Because those have always looked different than the War Walls. Just trying to clarify

Sorry, Sun, I meant the regular war walls in the city zones. Before they just sort of had this shimmer with the occasional sparkle working their way up the wall. Now they look... different. Hard to explain, really. :S
