Free tailor in tutorial
They could make the locker that one of the paths send you on as being the tailor. Ya know, 'cause you're going through all the clothes in there!
Honestly, that makes more sense than a tailor being in Outbreak... ya know... an area that has an outbreak going on!

I still say the most sensible solution for this from an "in game" standpoint, and also a little bit from a "less whining" standpoint would be to just let players under a certain level use tailors for free, and then probably put tailors where lowbies could fairly easily reach them.
Would allow for continual tweaking and poking at the costume until the look was perfect. Including the possibility of testing how at least a few powers actually looked.
Like for example say after a tank gets their first two toggles they realize the colors they chose for them combined, looks really horrible? The tutorial option wouldn't do a thing about that.
I'm all for this.
As part of the Blueside tutorial: You could rescue Serge, who would then offer to change your costume for free AND would ask you to "come find me at Icon at level 20!", which would serve as an introduction to getting extra costume slots for new players.
As part of the Redside tutorial: you could help a Vhazilok Eidolon escape from a cell. She'd then offer to perform a gratis "cosmetic surgery" to make it harder for Longbow to find you, and tell you to go meet her boss once you reach level 20.
You're a level 0 character, how difficult is it to reroll? Really?

I like this suggestion a lot, and it would actually get me in the tutorial for the isolator badge.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Not only is this something that everyone could profit from (as mentioned, we make some mistakes to our costumes, lighting is an issue, etc), but it also is perfect for introducing Icon and the Facemaker to new players, and letting them know when next they expect to see them.
The Tutorial zones haven't had any new additions since the devs added the 'extra' information station 'clicky' about Inventions, thus this would be a perfect 'update' to the Turorials to get others to get back into it. As it stands, it seems that "Going Rogue" is going to introduce a change into how you start up a character, so why not implement this as part of/prior to Going Rogue Expansion?
Great idea and I strongly approve of this!
You know, this may sound stupid and a bit late in the games life, but it'd be really nice to have a free tailor in the tutorial/outbreak area so if you missed or forgot something or think something is uglier than you thought it was going to be you could switch it right then and there.

What about people with the mission teleporter?
Have a high level character log in a secondary account on a new toon standing in Outbreak. Make sure the new toon has the final door mission.
Team up, and the high level character teleports in and runs to the free tailor.

Here's what I see wrong with the idea. It could be abused terribly.

It's not difficult to reroll. But it is impossible to see what the changes would look like in city light.

Why not just fix the lighting in the tailoring screen to be more like a live environment?
You know... the reason I suggested this is mainly because I selected all the colors and such and stepped into the tutorial, pulled out my dual sabers only to realize i had forgot to select the second color that I wanted... and I was like grrr I don't to remake the char again (cuz I had made it on the test server) and then I was like "There should be a tailor here for these occasions"

So after a few levels (and it was pre-Wentworth's and pre-Vet Rewards, so took a few levels to afford the change) I scooted him over to Steel or IP (forget which) for a makeover, but irritating hassle.
So fixing the lighting would be a step, but not the whole trip. Allowing fine tuning of costumes with the existing tool in tutorial would resolve it completely (adding a flag to say "in tutorial - no charge" versus changes to lighting effects for the graphics - possibly an easier code change as well).
My scrapper doesn't need an AoE. She IS an AoE.

Only works with a second account (buddy or actual two boxing).
And have we tested to see if mission porter (which is itself a paid goody, innit?) gets into the tutorial zones? I don't have it, so haven't tried it (also would need an accomplice, as I only have one account).
But again - not sure the abuse (terrible or trivial) scenario outweighs making this issue more convenient for all players.

I support this.

The hassle of deleting and remaking a character is just enough for me to enthusiastically agree with this suggestion.

- Price already scales with level. Make it so level 1-2 cost nothing.
- High levels tend to have enough INF to not make this an issue. Even my broke ones.
- 3 months gives a free costume change token. As do various other vet rewards.
- Trying to teleport to the Outbreak mission using the mission teleporter gives the error "You cannot teleport to the map this mission is on," so the objection is moot anyway. (How do I know? Just tested it on the training room.)
Totally support this.
It might also work to place a tailor in AP and Mercy, and any character under level 5 (10?) doesn't have to pay for tailoring sessions? (It would allow for a lot more fine tuning to get a look perfect)
*thinks* 'in game' reasons for tailors in those zones. AP, easy. AP is one of the main hubs of Paragon. Mercy... There's a Face Maker in Mercy, because a lot of people come over from the Zig and are starting a new life, whichever side of the law they may be on, and as such they may wish to have their appearance changed, so that they are no longer recognized as the person they used to be.. |

Every time I make a weapon character I forget to customize it.
And over the years I've had many, many characters I wanted to tweak one little thing on (hair color on characters with hats is a favorite thing to miss in my rush to get playing).
It would be a nice QOL improvement.

I like the idea, but I'm having a hard time rationalizing a tailor in breakout for redside. The last thing I want to do during a jailbreak is ...
WAIT a minute!
Why not make the tailor part of the stop for the villain tutorial? You're in the orange prison jumpsuit, and part of the escape is to get out of that jumpsuit.
