Since we all seem to say the same channels over and over again, but people have a hard time searching, I figured we should compile a thread that people can refer to in the future.

You know, when the next person posts, asking for channels. You can point 'em here.

(This list is compiled off of various posts from other helpful Freedom posters, and from glancing at the channel search screen.)

For a breakdown of how to use globals, please refer to this entry on Paragonwiki!

General Grouping/Events/TFs/SFs/Chatting:

Freedom Events
RF2009
Freedom (New? Never seen this one before, but it's got a few hundred heads in it.)
Evil Freedom (Small, but for evildoers, I guess?)
RadioFreedom
Radio Freedom
RadioFreedomServer (points to RF2009, don't bother anymore apaprently)
Freedom-united (set up in Nov 2011)
Freedom Hami Raids (organizational channel for a blueside Hami raid + RWZ Saucer raid double whammy on Sundays)

Specifically for badging:

Freedom Badge

(Both capped, so YMMV)
Freedom Monsters

TF/SF Specific:

Freedom TF
Freedom TFs (capped)
Freedom TF Chat (For the "Freedom Horde" TF group, open to the public for active participation)

Channel for finding MA arcs:

MA Arc Finder (cross-server Architect advertisement and discussion group)

Are there any other Badge channels?

I don't know if you can still add or edit that post or what not but your missing
*Freedom Monsters* Pretty much for monster hunters like myself who enjoy fighting the big ones.

There's quiet a few in that one too I've seen over 50 in it sometimes.

Updated to include FM. Thanks for the heads up. I always thought Monsters was dead, but maybe it's getting more business over the last year (I got rid of it in late 2007... it's late 2009 now... hm, time to re-eval my groups...).

Same here. I got rid of it a long time ago.. maybe when the Hero and Villain Event channels were introduced.

I have recently added a new channel for badge hunters since Freedom Badge(s) is currently capped.

New Channel: Freedom Badge Hunting Send to @Boroque for invites

What Channel would be the best to find Rikti Mothership Raids? Freedom Events?

Currently a member of Freedom Badge, Monster, and TF, but don't see them announced reliably on any of those.

The general chat areas with the largest populations are your best bet:

I'm just looking for a good (possibly ADULT) channel to hang out in and chat.... any suggestions there?

Hrm. Adult as in "no kids, mature conversation", or adult as in "I impale you mightily with my broadsword and you like it"? XD

If it's the latter: Virtue be -----------> thataway.
If it's the former... good question. I'm not familiar with any adults-only channels for Freedom (or in general?). If anyone can add to this, I'd be curious to know.

Oh god no not the latter! >.<

Mature conversation, mature people. I'm a 46 year old grandmother... I don't necessarily wanna hang out with 20 year old college students or 17 year old high school students... see what I mean?

Thanks, tho!!! Maybe someone will pipe up with one! Or I'll create one myself down the road.

There may be a bunch on the channel, but it seems totally dead. I've been trying in that one to find a team to help with Doc Delilah's arc in Faultline, and there has been absolutely no activity there for the past half hour at least.

Since this isn't a radio mission, I am guessing RadioFreedom would not be an appropriate channel to put out the call for help in.

So, any other general teaming channels to try for this?

Try RF2009 or Freedom TF Chat. I think RF2009 is still fairly active and it doesn't really matter what you ask for in there.

I run Freedom TF Chat. It's a very small channel, but the people in there are friendly, and we don't have restrictions on what you try to get going. It's just a poorly named channel (oopsie!)

The "Radio" part of the name doesn't meant it's just for radio missions. It's just a name for the global channel, like "BMT for Champion" is for Champion server, "Kitty Lovers of America" for Virtue, etc (I keed, I keed...). Feel free to advert anything you want in RF2009 or the other variants listed.

Only got about 4 spare slots for channels you see and so need to pick wisely

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

Does anyone know of any channels to help find teams on redside? How about teams on redside NOT running 50 content or doing strikeforce reruns? No one seems to bother setting flags any more or to pay attention to broadcast.

I'm not aware of any particular channel to find teams redside, but it sounds like a good idea. Make up a pub channel for it and I'll add it to the list. "Freedom TeamFinder" or something like that.

I have been gone form the game a long time, (RadioFreeSpirit and the various other radio free channels where the ones to be in, and the /ac get_wings thing was still running rampant >.< ), and just wanted to check how up to date the channels in the OP are, since it hasn't been edited in a while.

I was on yesterday and didn't see any chat in the Radio free variants I was still a member off, but I am guessing I was gone long enough that the active ones would have booted me to make room by now.

Are RF2009 and Freedom Events what I need to add now days? (And an invite to the Freedom Hami Raids channel once I get my CoH Legs back and feel like running him regularly again)

honestly i haven't seen chat in rf2009 in months maybe longer. The hopping channels right now are Freedom TF, Freedom TFs, and Freedom.

Thanks for the info, I will add those when I get home tonight.

Hopefully I will have unlocked alpha on my 4 main 50s by Friday and have my bearings well enough I can start running trials over the weekend.

Then of course, there are the 4-5 new chars i have planned due to all the proliferation I missed >.>. My altitis came back swinging lol.

Hmm... looks like the recommended channels are all full, any idea if they do spring cleaning at regular times or anything?

I know PvP is kind of looked down upon by most of the PvE community but it would be cool if you could list this new channel under a PvP sub-category, we are using it as a community to rally remaining Freedom PvPers to squeeze what's left out of PvP, it's a growing channel and what not, and it's public... Refer to my other thread on the Freedom boards for extended info

channel is called "Freedom PvP 2011"
