Trying new ati drivers 11.9 now.

This game seems to have more down time than any other mmorpg I have played in my long long history of gaming.

I hope issues are fixed soon otherwise my return will be short lived not to mention I am EU based and these down times seem far worse timing wise for us.

Possible Fix:

I have not had a crash for a small while I dont know if its any good for everyone.

Go to
Menu > Options > "General Tab" > Scroll to "Prompts" at the bottom of this window select "Hide Paragon Rewards button [Enabled] > Hide Paragon Market button [Enabled] > Apply Now

This needs more testing but it seems my hunch was right, Im also running full ultra with shadows and 11.8 drivers. To think I blamed Marty!

Its lessened my crashing but I still crash.

Dont bother rolling back drivers it really doesnt work or at least it hasnt for me and other friends. Aka its not a full proof method and takes your driver updates too far back

I would like to throw my hat into this ring and an angry hat it is too.

I recently returned and subbed for VIP, I had 0 issues earlier this year when playing for about 4 months before the start of the summer, anyway:

Once almost every 30 mins or an hour the game will freeze totally I have to task manager close it. Also I have been experiencing hard PC crashes.

I have tried rolling back drivers
Disabling shadows etc
I even reinstalled the game.
Other fiddle fixes like running launchers as admin etc.

Gfx card HD6950 Op Win 7 64 bit.

I dont have issues with other games just city of heroes.

Bringing this back to the top in light that there might be more EU players around now just like me.

The Top Ten Supergroup on Freedom is once again recruiting, we have a strong leadership base of people in the EU and US timezones. The globals Captain Denmark and myself The British Bulldog are around during EU play times, Dragonhawk and King Leo are our US contacts and are active during the US play times.

What We Are Looking For:
The current content is moving forward at a great pace and we want to tackle the new raids with organisation, decent people and to have a blast with regulars. We will be using a mumble server to communicate so a mic and some sort of sound output device is required. Regular playing is essential though we do not wish to extract your life from you, if you sign up to events we expect you to show up. We'd expect on average our gamers to play for around 2 hour play sessions 3 times a week. Some may play more and quite often do.

To gain access to the raids we'd probably expect a fairly decently IO'd toon including the 50+1, however if this isnt currently you, you are more than welcome to join us and work on your character. Though we will not put up with continual sloppy play and poor attitudes. As long as you have one regularly played character in our supergoup you are allowed to have other toons in other supergroups. We believe in social cohesion and expanding the network provides a better pool of people to play with just as long as you stay in the TT social channel so we can all chat about the weather.

Who Are We?
A core of Veterans who have been around since the beta of the game combined with players who are mostly 1-3 years veterans. Many of us have a deep knowledge of the game and have known this game from some sort of Beta, the majority are old legends from the original Top Ten. We have decided to breathe life back into this once grand supergroup, do you want to be apart of it and have a good time with us? We are couple and female friendly we already have a few couples playing.

I play from England in Europe and I just got back to the game recently after realising that this is the best game that can fit in with someones life long term. I do play british times GMT ish around +6hours most of you USA folk. I am working on my new level 50 scrapper and an up coming defender. What I want out of a super group is an active community/coalition with SG comms(ts3/vent)/forums that plays well together and is light with the rules. I am a mature individual and I expect the SG I support and play in to have a light hearted attitude to adult style conversations. This is a game I treat like one but I want to achieve while I chill out with a few crazy individuals.

If anyone remembers top ten I hang around them as social group, a few of them are my long term friends on my msn. I have no problem applying in an application format on a forum if requested.

I do really enjoy task forces etc and am working up to some sort of raid status, I do not pvp so much but am willing to try at some point, I am not against farms as it can be a great time gap filler between finding TFs. What I do not want is to be invited to an SG told to go into prestige mode all the time with no one around I will leave very quickly if anything like this is the case. My attitude is if you want me in prestige mode its in a Supergroup activity together.

I play almost everyday if not that every few days gaming and CoX is my down time instead of TV or watching soccer. Hope this rings a bell with someone, I pretty much know what Im looking for I just hope they are looking for me. As mulder once said "lets see whats out there". Will be searching ingame too.

I could not find an electric guide and I also cannot find an elec/kin recent build. I was wondering if anyone has an elec/kin build put by they wouldn't mind sharing.

I would just question a couple of things regarding powers.

Would teleport friend not be better for when you want to aoe ress in a pinch. I don't understand why you have taken Combat Jumping over that. Its only for you to have some food for thought. Here's a throw out would stealth not be better a good option too ontop of shadowfall.

Throw in some kinda jump jet or temp power I can use more often than once or twice in my toons life and you can have $10.

Agreed too little for too much, mind you most people won't even check their mail I bet, half this thread are probably ncsoft employee's and I cannot wait to mock those with the silly suits that they paid for.

And as I said in the other thread, other games offer free content on seasonal occassions. Valentines is a rip-off as it is without my game trying to cash in on me.

I think the cost for the content is too much for so little. And other games I play provide alot more content for free for seasonal and special occassions.

Nc are trying different business models I guess.
