So are there any decent controller builds worth trying since PVP 2.0 came out?

I am fond of the Earth/Therms and Ice/Storms. An Earth/Therm with Stone Mastery actually can deal pretty decent damage. I've even taken a few psy/ems on him, granted they weren't the best. But it eats most toons 1v1.

I have a Earth/Rad with power mastery that does well in zone with no IO sets on him at all. But 1v1 its to easy to take off the rad debuffs to be effective. Thermal on the other hand I can see working. But I would still take power mastery over earth, for Power Boost.

So an earth/emp prolly wouldnt do very good cuz there's no debuffs.

Earth Debuffs Def, and Movement, while emp provides 0 debuffs.

I have a feeling that anything/Cold/Earth or Power will become very good/popular.

Benumb will make all your already better all other AT's holds (ex. Domi's) even more powerful. Plus, the de-buffs aren't toggle based, so once they hit they are there for the whole duration. Of course the slows won't do much now, but thats what your control set is for.

My Sonic/Thermal corr also got wrecked by a Plant/Rad not to long ago. It was craziness....

either a rad, therm, or emp with ice, ill, earth, grav,

what about plant/storm?

Carrion Creepers, Tornado, Lightning storm, and maybe Venus Flytrap? [[for damage]]..

Has anyone tried creepers in pvp recently?

Would lightning clap [or w.e it's called] be viable? I think no and I guess FR would have to be used strategically...

I know that snow storm sucks now, but would gale be good for noobs with no kb protection?

So in RV should I be buffing my pet with more than just forge?

Posted

I like to give it a fireshield to look cool, but really forge is all it needs... unless someone decides to attack your pet instead of you... Odd choice.

i got a plant kin that makes mms run...

Posted

Yknow I made a plant/kin for farming purpose's and I can see how this would really mess up a MM fast.

Any slotting suggestions for Heat Exhaustion? I had figured on 6 slotting with 2xAcc, 2xRchrdx, 1 range and 1 endredux.

You can get by with just 2 acc 2 rech. If you have the extra slots make them ranges. Even just one is noticeable.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

I think right now hands down, Ill/Therm, is top of the food chain.

Posted

Ok since getting my earth/therm up to 40 I'm now trying to figure out which epic would best suit the pvp build. Pros and cons of them for pvp would be most welcomed.

Posted

The base end cost on HE is like 20 so an end redux isn't a bad option if you have space in teh build for them.

Posted

i have a plant kin - and yah they mess up mms. Carrion Creepers and fulcrum ooh yea.
