I'm not sure I see the point of the thread (unless its another my build is so super duper awesome show off threads). The build is fine, not perfect, but eh. You should start working on an inherent fitness build with i19 coming out soon.

I was also thinking about a 3rd team when I was thinking about capture the flag at first, but the next thing that came to my mind was I probably wouldnt want to be all alone against 2 full teams for 10 minutes xD
-
I still need them on my main as soon as i reactivate my other account
-
Quote:Like... for example random player starts with the flag, opposing team kills the flag, whoever killed the flag becomes the flag, the other team must then kill that player to get the flag back, whoever has flag at the end of the match wins? if i understand that right....- 'Capture the Flag', where the flag is a player that must be defeated (still working out the details with this idea)
Did you ever try this out? That sounds really /really/ fun. -
Thanks for the invite ^^ Getting to hop on something literally 5 mins after logging in after 240 days offline was pure win. First match I couldnt remember how to fly up(lol) on my PB so I was a grounded target the whole match but somehow managed to pull off 5 kills xD Good fun, thanks guys

Well I've debated making a good bye thread for a while now, but I feel that I need closure, so I'm making one, dont care how much you hate it.
I started playing this game in July '06, my main account ended on december 8th and this one ends tommorow. I really never thought I'd leave this game until everyone else left and the developers shut down the servers, but it looks like I am.
I should say that I certainly was not pleased with certain changes to the game (thats not why I'm making this post though)... I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about (pvp...farming...lack of new content...), However really its a need to move on and explore new things (other games(aion atm which is win), and other things in life). I currently work in a child day care center 5 days a week, and am working on getting into college to take classes in early childhood education. It is my passion. Well the above resulted in cox getting the boot.
Well now I'm rambling, and its already one of the longest posts I've ever made, I hate long posts. However I do need to thank some peoples (seems to be tradition eh?) Many of you have been very kind to me these past 3 years, and I really appreciate it, it means alot.
There really isn't enough room here to thank everyone. I don't think most people really care either, and I'm prolly gonna get a bunch of TLDR at this point. Wymphyri, X, Stray, Purp, Zurok, Rempire, Blood, Pyro, Hell, 4shes, Pin, Rose, Reppy, Easca, Rona, Cyb, Kryene, Trixi, Xionian, Pool, UC, Jock, Burk, SS, Ark, Bravo, Ang, Swup, Locks, Shadow, Koji, Red, Jord, Net, Poka, Gold, Void, Free, Zenitram, Cutlass, Jac, Flea, Cobalt.... many many many others... I would run out of room if I could list everyone... I'm really truely grateful for meeting all of you... and glad I can still keep in touch on facebook with some... and even having the privalidge to meet some in RL.
Well that's all... you can all go back to your ebil marketeering now, nothing to see here -

No SoA should drop venom grenade for shatter armor, not only is venomG. an AoE, but will also stack with Shatter armor for even better resistance debuffing.
-
The recharge is fine considering it is not a primary/secondary power, and that it has the -20% dmg resistance tagged on it.
I might actually roll a bane for this. Being able to dish out perma -60% resistance on a single target before any procs go off is really nice, especially considering it isnt really even a buff/debuff AT. -
-
If theres no more interest, I'll have to call it off... it's no skin off my back, I just thought it'd be a fun (stupid) idea.
edit: I also probably shouldn't have thread jacked you guys, gratz again =) -
What?! Omg never talking to posi again, I shoulda talked with hero 1 or another. Either way, it porbably wouldnt be anything that would make or break my day. I can wait til I can playtest it firsthand.

Quote:On the other side of the CoH booth there was a HUGE postered wall with tyrant, desdemona, and the dual pistols guy, that literally said GOING ROGUE on it. Ironically they would not say anything new about GR to me.No ROGUE news? That is really disappointing.
Honestly, I could care less about i16. Power prolif just causes the ATs to become a bit more alike. Colors are nice but not a priority. Ah well. -
Quote:These are your resistance #s assuming 3 slotted with lvl 50 IOs (includes tough):Lightning reflexes is a good power, but if I had to skip a power, that'd probably be it. You'll probably see comments about skipped power surge, but with as much (or little) mitigation as electric armor has, *I* will certainly be getting it on my tank.
By the time you get power sink, stamina shouldn't be a problem, so skipping stamina will be more productive than skipping anything from elec if you need the room.
Smash/Lethal: 79.2%
Fire/Cold: 55.5%
Energy: 130.74% capped at 90%
Negative: 47.5%
Toxic: 0%
Psionic: 55.5%
After using power surge:
Smash/Lethal/Fire/Cold/Energy/Negative all cap out @ 90% resistance with 0 slots in power surge
Toxic: 70% with 0 slots, 87.9% with 1 slot
Psionic: Still 55.5% res.
Reasons to take Power Surge:
--fighting heavy resistance debuffing foes such as wailers (doesnt appear much, if at all, hero side), longbow (you fight them in ONE mission hero side), or some custom foes in AE.
--Filling toxic hole... Could help with arachnos and arachnoids, but their toxic damage is mostly in the form of add on toxic DoTs which dont do much damage
--Capping negative resistance (ITF Nictus and Ghost Widow)
If I ever made an elec tank, I wouldn't take Power Surge, the crash isnt worth it for the rare cases where it would be useful. IMO of course. -

I talked with posi a lil bit (he did look tired) but he wouldnt say anything I didnt already know

Quote:...And your powers are slotted how?Just to give you some numbers that I got from playing around on the test server with my Fire/EM Blaster who is no longer on the live server since I deleted her.
Against level 42 Carnival Strongmen (even level)
Round one:
Energy Punch + Bone Smasher = 244 combined damage
Total Focus = 308 energy/smashing damage
Round two:
EP + BS = 282 combined
TF = 361 damage
Round three:
EP + BS = 246 combined
TF = 308 damage
Now I know these are not a large sample size, but the damage difference is very consistent. I am not saying that someone NEEDS to take Total Focus, but the damage from that one attack is consistently better than Energy Punch and Bone Smasher combined.
Had I done this on Freakshow the damage from TF would have been even higher and the gap larger. -
Quote:Umm, yes the gap would need to be that huge. 55%, can you do maths? The gap wouldn't need to be that huge because EP and BS have more damage to lose when enemies have higher smashing resistance.
Quote:Since TF is primarily energy damage it isn't losing as much damage as BS and EP. From a recharge standpoint you are correct when you say TF won't outdamage BS and EP combined, but from single usage on resisted foes those two don't come close. Quote:
Did you know that it takes 55% resistance to come close? Freaks and Carnies dont have that. And I'm 99% sure of that. 50% resistance is like fighting robots, with lethal. And I know it's not that godawful slow. -
Went to PAX. CoH's booth was mainly i16 stuff with all the computers demo'ing the power customization. There is a panel tommorow though, so who knows.
