PVPEC 3v3 weekly fight nights!

Team Format

  • You may register as a team with 2 players on it and the 3rd person will be randomly assigned to you.
  • If you do not have a partner you may register as a free agent and you will be randomly assigned to a team.
  • There is a possibility that teams that register as 2 people together may be separated by the PVPEC rep in order to make teams even and where everyone can participate. We will do our best to not have to do this but it is up to the discretion of the PVPEC rep running the fight night that evening.
  • The teams will remain the same for the entire event.
  • Each team member must remain on the same toon the entire event.


EVENT RULES
  • This is a SHW Event. Levels 47-50 only.
  • In the event of an odd number of players (not divisible by 3), the nightly host will attempt to recruit more to make it even. In the event that is not possible, teams will be filled in order of registration and any extra will not be able to participate that evening.
  • All matches will be 10 minutes in length.
  • All matches are required to leave DR enabled, TS disabled and HD disabled.
  • All maps are set to random. No map resets will be permitted, including for cage matches.
  • One Reset is permitted for player disconnect within the first 90 seconds of a match. Any disconnects after the first 90 seconds (or a second disconnect) will result in the team having to play shorthanded. In the event of a reset the original random map that was generated will be selected.
  • Spawn camping is not permitted. If spawn camping is reported, the match will be repeated AFTER the Round Robin segment of the tournament has completed WITH the event host present. If an event host observes a team spawn camping they will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
  • Small inspirations and arena purchased temp powers are allowed.
  • SD kills will not count.
  • Please be respectful to your fellow players by refraining from "trash talk". A player may be disqualified at the event host's discretion.
  • Banned powers currently are Corrupter Lingering Radiation and Stalker Thunderstrike. Any team using these powers during a match will receive a point value of 0 for that match. Other team must show adequate proof to the PVPEC hosting rep.
Please try to arrive at least FIFTEEN minutes early to register for this event. Registration time will be cut off at precisely 900pm EST, no exceptions.(Unless of course it is a villain hami raid night and registration will be cut off at 930pm EST on those nights.)


Match Format


  • Each team will fight every other team one match Round Robin style.

Point Values

  • 3 points per win, 2 points per tie, 1 point per loss. Points will be accumulated for the entire fight night and a winning team will be announced at the end of the night.



Prizes

  • Each fight night each member of the winning team will receive a random prize. Prize type and amounts will vary from week to week based on what the PVPEC rep hosting has in their pockets to give out.
  • Each night all participants global names will be added to a monthly list. At the end of the month we will do a random drawing and the winner will win 1 billion influence/infamy to be payable by @CriticalKat. This prize is for participation and has nothing to do with who wins. The more fight nights you participate in during the month, the more entries you have for the drawing.
  • The winner may select whether they want infamy or influence however I do reserve the right to pay out in whichever I have if I happen to be running short.


*The PvPEC reserves the right to add, subtract or adjust any rules as necessary.


On weeks that there is a red side raid this event will be moved to 930 pm EST for registration closing time.

Definition of spawn camping clarification-- Do not attack any player when they respawn until they have actually moved.

Drama will not be tolerated in any form. Anyone causing drama will not be allowed to participate and are subject to a DQ.

Nope. Being the 3rd person on each team is going to be random the chances of 3 stalker, therm etc teams are highly unlikely.

Ohh, I thought we picked our teams and a 3rd was only assigned if we did not have 3 team members.

Nope. Personally I think the pvp community on Champion is a bit too new to expect them to have organized teams and actually get it together enough to PVP. Plus we don't want something identical to the 3v3 ladder attempting to start up in case it does get off the ground. So we discussed it and went with this idea to meet in the middle. You can have 1 partner to practice with and familiarize yourself if that is what you want to do. However with free agents being allowed to make and complete the teams it leaves room for the casual pvp'r as well and makes it where the casual pvp'r (noob) isn't forced to compete against stacked teams being each team will have 1 random person on it.

Well, while I wouldn't say that Champion is too new to expect solid 3 man teams to show up, I do agree that dropin' it to 2 and adding a 3rd will bring a better turnout to the events. I like the format, this should be a blast. I'll most likely be showing up as a "free agent" as often as I can.

Space reserved for a super awesome Signature, someday...

I agree 100% with this and so if we have a partner alrdy do u want us 2 sign up in fourms here or jus show up with the partner dat saturday nite?

Just show up and message whichever of us hosts are broadcasting in arena that night for registrations.

Please be sure to fill up your email with large insperations. You know, after they run out, you can have your friends email you more during the match, so there is no need to conserve them. This is what the winners do already, and if everyone does so, it will even the playing feild a little bit....just make it fast, before it gets nerf'd.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm far too lazy to try to orchestrate any sort of inspiration conspiracy.

I think I'll just show up to have fun. It's low maintenance.

Also, thanks for hosting this! I'll definitely try to attend.

Lol theres no need 4 this especially considering its just 4 fun anyways.
