not trying to be mean but why are y'all surprised, are y'all new to CoX or what this is not surprising of the devs to bring em down when they want take as long as they need then turn em back on without telling us anything, the server status page is a joke and the patch notes don't even get me started. but all in all CoX patch days are nothing to be whining about they are short breaks in operation go refill your mountain dew buy some coffee get breakfast walk your ferret but stop worrying the game will be back up in no time. if you want to experience rediculous patch days go play WoW for a few weeks.

From the announcement: Apparently they used the early release option. Which isn't all that bad considering how unstable the servers have been recently. While the community reps do occasionally tell us why, especially for unannounced downtimes, this one was announced well in advance. In this case i'd think the why would be pretty obvious to anyone who has been playing the game recently anyway. |

Just tried to log on, and now they are apparently rolling back today's patch and CityOf is expected to be down for another hour or two!

Yeah - a little frustrating trying to log in this morning before work and now after work and no access to the game. Understandable why, but still disappointing.

So, we got another patch this evening, and the servers are down again. (still bugged server status page). Anyone know what's what?

Some retard gave me neg rep and left a comment "annouced downtime is not random". Where did i say that? lol stupid, disabled my rep

"Mon and Fri are the normal days, Tues, Wed, Thurs are normally patch updates.
They do however shut down servers randomly for emergency fixes.
Random downtimes do suck for players, but are important if the bug could break your toon for instance. Scheduled downtimes are always announced on the forums. This time they announced it in the updater which is rare"
Don't see where I said "announced downtime is random"
Perhaps the use of "Irregular" or "Unexpected" instead of "Random" would have been more precise. The phrase "Random downtimes do suck for players" could be read by some as implying this latest outage was not announced thus supporting the various rage/game going to heck posts.
Personally I wouldn't neg rep anyone unless they are factually wrong.
