Well I didn't really do anything but quote someone else but you're welcome!

While I'm here and instead of padding my post count (yay 244!) -

Thanks Viv for the dafont.com recommendation.

Thanks Alt for noticing I changed the font! I'm still playing with it. I pulled a few fonts and want to change some of the effects and probably change to a snipe shot instead of the double handed blast.

What size is everyone shooting for? I was aiming to keep the height around 150 but it seems small compared to most. BUT I don't want to get too large either.(edit - nvm I guess if I had gotten more than 3 hours sleep last night I'd have enough common sense to just right click on a few sigs - DOH!)

I've been keeping mine in the 350x100 area. A 100 on height is about as large as I think I'll ever go, honestly, though I could see myself doing a 600x100 at some point if I ever got enough image together for it... though, my current one is about where I want it on size.

S'visible, but not quite to the point of being obtrusive.

Both signatures are a about the size of small postcard. too large and can be cropped down without losing the major details. A one line post with your signature is going to take up a lot of space. I posted this a few pages back but here is a site that shows typical web banner sizes.

Also Azrial, it's hard to read the text using that decorative font. It works for the name of the character but not other details.

It's also kinda big and could be reduced.

That tie dye pattern mixed with a transparent drop shadow makes it a real PITA to edit. >.<
Holler at Zenvious for the design, I just paid him the monies. And... I like yours the best, altho Hems did a nifty job too. *yoinks*

I'm not a dude.

I think its the width more so than the height, combined with the close up of Joker faces makes it large.

mine is already in my sig. not sure if I did it right, but I am using it thus far.

not that great, but oh well.

There are a lot of really awesome sig banners here.

Yeesh!

Here's my first real leap into the world of animated gifs!

While I have made my own animated avatars, it's always a troublesome process for me because I never really went and officially learned the right way to do it. I sort of just kept trying stuff until I had it done.

This time I read a tutorial!

And it still took three hours to make.

I like it though. The quality is a tad low but I don't know how to improve it any. I'll settle for this though, it's good enough.

Thanks for looking.

Congratulations!

And for the record - this is how I learn all things graphics and design related. *grins* I have yet to do something "the right way".

...so it's not the actual dimensions, but rather your impression of them that makes it too big?

I'm not sure I can help that, guy.

I see wut u did there.

What do you mean, bro?

Mine is decidedly odd, but I have become fond of it.

It is unquestionably acceptable on a size front (it's smaller than a lot of text-only signatures), especially since I don't combine it with any text, and it's just 16kb in size. What's not to love?

Such is the nature of GIFs; they can only store so many colors. So when you have animated images like yours, where the alternating images each have many, many colors, it dithers some of them by "mixing" pixels of colors already in it's pallette to fake it.

Pretty sure I said it was the width there and not just my impressions of dimension. It's an opinion, not a federal court order.

Still not a guy, dude, man, fella, mister, bloke, gent or male.
