My name... ARGH!!!

Hmmm, maybe the US Navy is relying too much on their instruments. Old Cuban bread probably does not show up on their radar and when they see it coming it is already too late to ready the milk bottles... or the ducks.
Ah, well, since it is about 5am now where I live I think I will sleep over it and maybe invent some kind of surveillance equipment in my dream that warns of incoming bread. I think I will call it breadar.

eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

Ah, Conch Independence Day? Wish I could be there for that.

I've been down Duval for New Year's, got LOTS of beads, and been filmed on CNN with my arm round Marilyn Monroe. (At least, that's what he said his name was.)

(Oh, and if Lady A has her fins up, Jimmy's Shepherd's Bush gig was fantastic... just wish I'd known he was staying at the same hotel as me or I'd have been back earlier. Did get to meet Mac though.)

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

My new invention could have helped you with your Marilyn Monroe question. Originally I wanted to invent the breadar, a device to help the US Navy against Cuban bread, but unfortunately I lost a letter and now I got a bradar which is also useful but does something... different.
The other problem is that I only invented this device in a dream, but seeing your name that should not be a problem.

Nah. Two were forum posts that tickled me and one was a bumper sticker that tickled me... though I might add the one about microwaving cats for fun and profit...

What kind of car was that bumper sticker on? A hearse?

And oooh we still have all PMs OOOH!!! and all my posts! Well nearly all, who cares
Wouldnt do you any good. I had to add a number to the end of my US account as you can see. What gets me is the way its seems to have been assumed US first then EU second. I mean shouldnt it go to whoever has the ealriest date? Or has it? Its hard to tell.

It's done equally - if there were two accounts called Captain Heroman,
then one would be called Captain Heroman NA and one would be Captain Heroman EU.

See now thats fair. Still... what to do if both accounts are me? Now there is a conundrum.

Well, the mdoas have said they're working on ways to resolve name clashes - and I think cases of one player owning both the names would be some of the first ones they fix - they'd just change one of your account names for you, and then remove the NA/EU from the one you wanted to keep.

For clashes between 2 people, they might go by activity - like if Captain Heroman NA registered in 2006, but hasn't ever posted, and doesn't even have an active game account right now, but Captain Heroman EU still posts from time to time on the forums, and has an active game account, then he'd get to keep the Captain Heroman name, and the inactive player would get a placeholder name for if/when they came back.

Interesting point GG. But thing is it was a rhetorical question. Seems unlikely that I will reacitvate that account anyway unless my immediate plans go awry. If all does happen as I hope then I wouldnt expect this to be a very long stay either.

Oh, you just made realize the reason for the location tags. I thought we all had them to like show from where we come. Now my brains hurt as I realize my own stupidity.

I'd like to think that you are right. Looking at the members list, Scapegoat_NA has made a single post and last logged in during January 06.

Actually I don't think it has anything to do with registration dates who gets the suffix, I think both parties get it until they can sort it out. Take SynergyX for example, both names have the suffix.

Hmmm...nope, all appears well, surprisingly.

Hooray?

Same here.

RoentgenStorm_NA is also me from way back when, before EU beta opened. That account's not been active since EU launch so I'd love for the old _NA account to get canned.

Though it was nostalgic reading my few old posts here moaning about having to buy the EU copy of the game in order to protect hero names on the new EU servers.

Same here ... at first I thought of myself as rather clever "fabricating" the name Netherine - just a playing with nether and add some words; however I was put back to earth soon when I tried to get the name on Union and found I couldn't get it (though I do have @Netherine); so someone else was quicker AND more clever than me. Not too hard to do mind you, but yeah that little experience made me fear for the merge thinking someone else had that same name.

Glad it wasn't the case, because I happen to like this name very much
