That's why I stick to here where it's cosy and warm not like the other forums that have our US counterparts dominating them >.<

Pfff... Weakling! The combined might of every single US poster wouldn't make me quaver in the slightest!

Hard to believe a brand of curtain rails would have such an impact!

Could be a good selling point in the future, no?

If it has
eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

I must admit I find the volume/frequency of posts a bit daunting now. I don't think I can commit so much extra time to keeping up with what's posted on the sub-forum categories I used to monitor/participate in on the old EU forums. "General Discussion" and "Comics & Hero/Villain Culture" in particular are HUGE now, and they were busy enough for me on our old EU forums.

Plus I'm a bit fearful of running into spoilers for the US shows I watch on the "Comics & Hero/Villain Culture" forum - on the EU forums everyone was sensitive to UK/EU screening dates for US shows, but we can't expect that on a predominantly US forum.

On the bright side I suspect I'll appreciate the increased traffic on the various archetype, "Mission Architect" and "Base" forums. That will give me something to browse while "enjoying" my much slower zone-loading times in-game (which seem to get slower by the week...).

So I think I'm going back to mainly just lurking. The sheer size of the post-merge forums has put me off trying to fully participate. I'll have to be very selective about what I read/post now - and I may just stick to the Dev Digest (once they get that back up and running).

they are aren't they? not to mention my ongoing problem with the auction house servers disconnecting or totally crashing my game.
but yes, there is more to read on the forums, more to keep track of, but I guess I'll just adapt to a hit and run style of posting.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Well nice to see some familar names around here from my departure getting on for 3 years ago now. Hope all has gone well. This is actually a new account hence the "_1977" suffix on the end of it. But for those of you who remember the name Lodestar from all those years ago this is me.

How are you all?

Edit: Just realised wonder if my old account has an "_EU" suffix after it? Ah well never know so it doesnt matter.

Yep tis I.

Teamed with you with a few alts too. My old Empath Jack Kerrigan, and my old troller I never finished Beguile. In fact was on my troller you helped me finish Hollows and I meant to get you in an the Cavern of Transcendance but you wernt online when we did it. (I have a good memory, sometimes a blessing, sometimes a curse).

Ah you still playing eh? Nice to see you. Hope alls well. Havent seen you about in any of the other SG forums so I did wonder if you still played.

Had a few temptations to come back but decided not to bother until now. Even then was a spare of the moment decision to join some of my Watchfire friends on the NA servers. So I still cant play with you guys ingame even though Im back ... albeit very breifly at that.

Oh..and what does it mean in San Fransciso or is it a bit too naughty for the boards?
Being from the east coast (in the US) i took "swish" as a variant of sports oriented lingo such as "nothing but net" "hole in one" "score" ... somewhat to the effect of a good job or something well done/done properly... i suppose "the new boards are swish" came across to me as "the new boards are well done/good looking"

not sure if there's a different meaning in san francisco or not. in any case, good to have some new faces (err... names) around!

I occasionally get crashes to desktop from clicking WW/BM NPCs, but very few lately. I've had terrible lag this last week, but double xp can probably be blamed for that.

Heaven forbid, I may have to start writing shorter posts. It's the apocalypse, I tell ya!

As for the word "swish", here the closest meanings would be "flash" or "flashy", usually when speaking about clothes, or cars, or some fashion accessory - I guess a combination of smart/shiny/impressive/cool/really-suits-you. I wasn't aware of the US meaning until I just Wikipedia'd it, and now I realise in future I'll have to be very conscious of the context I use the word "swish" in

'Swish' is the sound of an evening gown while dancing the tango...

And "Aaargh!" is the sound your dance partner makes when he trips over it and breaks his ankle.

I thought that was the sound he makes when I 'accidentily' lift my knee too fast...

So confused with all these differences...
