On the positive side, this at least means much more Dev notice for some of the extremely talented EU Mission Architects, as the boards for discussing them will be combined too.
On the other hand... I'm pretty certain I've got an old US account too (I started there when the game went live), indeed I can even remember the original "Go. Hunt. Kil Skulz" thread... and it's going to feel odd to go back into that community so many year (both game and real) down the line.
So overall... I feel a little odd about this. Especially as my last 6 month payment ends in a few weeks, and I'm not sure I want to renew either.
The Creative section will also get a much larger audience too.

The European English and North-American English Forums are indeed the ones who are going to undergo the biggest changes since it is 2 big communities that are going to be merged together (and hopefully coexist in peace).

Personally, I'm looking forward to this. I'm hoping that the board software will be either different or at least working properly because its pants right now. Search function is rubbish and quote boxes should have who your quoting noted etc.. Also hoping for graphic sigs as at least a small graphic breaks up the walls of text.
Also I'd like to see Dev posts first hand rather than have to rely on others to trawl through the US forums and relay them here.

I for one am definitely looking forward to being able to meet all of you! Although I lurk on these forums I have yet to really manage to interact with more than a handful of you.
We definitely understand the feelings of community that the EU players have and are considering a number of ideas on how to preserve that feeling of community while at the same time increasing the global community of CoH players irregardless of region.
Honestly this is one of the most exciting things for me currently going on, although I too can't wait for blue fire imps and Going Rogue. But more players are more chances for friendship and the additional perspective of you, our European compatriots, is something I personally can't wait for.
That and teasing any players from Glasgow.

Question for anybody that can give a good/correct answer.
Regarding these new forums will we have a competition section within it and if so will there be advertising on the website again? If so will it be clearly marked EU/US.
Will future forum competitions organised by community reps/devs to players be just region based [for prizes] or available to all?
Whats going to happen to player created groups both sides of the pond? Like the recently added EU city scoop and the US side P.E.R.C's, will they be deleted and have to start over again or be able to "apply" for their title?

All the player run groups will be going through some adjustments initially so I can't give you a firm answer right now, but whether you get to keep your own separate groups or merge with one another, the new forums should make it easier to support most of your initiatives
