Your unbeatable team?

Lets be honest here for a second, we all have walked alongside a riverbank with our girlfriend and we've wandered off into our own little world while she talks [she dont read these forums so im safe], thinking about what exactly would be the ULTIMATE team outfit that could face any obstacle and win [note win, not not lose].

Well we can assume in a few months we'll finally be able to do this so lets discuss! The ULTIMATE team format to take on any challenge!
[*] Willpower/dark melee tank[*] illusion/thermal controller[*] Arachnos soldier[*] fire/fire blaster[*] bots/ff mastermind[*] fire/dark scrapper[*] Warshade[*] fire/rad corrupter

To explain my choices, you have your defensive ATs which will boost all your teams def/keep them alive, with the frontline ATs all capable of self buffing greatly in a large spawn.

my personnal "Dream Team" should be:

That should be my dream team for task forces or Rikti mothership raid but not Hamidon.

They're strong but imo nowhere near the ideal/unbeatable team.

They are.
In Vigilance , there is a Supergroup called "Knock-back Inc." , and the only accepted archetype in it is the Rad/sonic defender.

UNBELIVEABLE! we crush A.V like bosses in normal groups...

if you have enough friends with Rads corruptors or defenders, try, it's Really funny :]

Speaking as a player of controllers, specifically 2x Fire/Kin &amp; 2x Mind/Rad (I duo both so have some experience of controller power in groups) I'd have to say with set bonuses and the -Tohit (Radiation Infection / Smoke) If they can hit me through all that they deserve to win. Plus AM gives some Mezz resistance 8x would give quite a bit. Plus if you go for the Psionic Mastery you get a clicky mez protection, which with 8x AM would be perma.

According to Mids:

8x AM will give 1384% Mez Resistance (Hold, Stun, Sleep, Immob)
Indomitable Will (Psionic Mastery) gives 10 Protection (Hold, Stun, Sleep, Confuse, Fear)
Indomitable Will is perma with 2x Recharge SO
AM is perma with 1x recharge SO
Both without hasten.
Radiation Infection x8 gives a -200% ToHit Bonus.
Smoke gives a further -40%.

Not ever had the pleasure to be in a fire/rad super team, but I reckon there would be very little they couldn't do. But to perhaps change build...:

5x Fire/Rad (minimum to easily perma AM without hasten).
1x Bubble Defender
1x Inv/WP/Stone Tank
1x Fire/?? Blaster or a Kheldian.

Done an awful lot of theory crafting on this in the past because I can't afford to run more than 2 accounts at once.

Not as unbeatable team but I want to see a team of 4 or 5 (each AT) face every challange in this game. Maybe will start it someday.

When I'm personally thinking about it yes they would be in sync. But 8x PCs plus associated electric and internet bills are currently out of my price range. Plus I'd probably want to hard ware box for the better latency. Currently I software box 2x and have experimented with three (2x subbed 1x trial) but my network doesn't like it.

And TBH I would imagine if you can get all 8 players on VoIP then syncing up AM etc wouldn't be that hard.

Are you thinking what im thinking? A week long challenge?

Day 1: Full man team taking on certain AVs

Day 2: Mothership raid

Day 3: AV hunt in RV

Day 4: Lusca/gm killing

et etc

Fiery Melee/Willpower Scrapper (Alternately, Fire/Shield. Figured WP'd benefit most from Frostwork though)

Not entirely sure why you'd fit a Tanker into any team when you've got full choice over it. With diverse and plentiful buffs/debuffs, they become very much redundant, really.

Anyhow, this team'd have extremely high defense and resistances all around, mez protection for all via Clarity, endurance sorted by Kineticist and two Colds, -Res/Def/Regen/Recharge/Recovery in droves, +Damage and plenty of damage dealers, and most likely the capacity to end-drain AVs/GMs to zero and keep them there, though that's possibly redundant with how fast they'd die anyway.

For the hits that do get through to be absorbed by the high resistance Sonic confers, there's Transfusion, a powerful and spammy heal. The -Defense of the team assures it'd hit 19 times out of 20, too. Frostwork also raises MaxHP of whoever it's cast on, by around 1060hp slotted at 50. Of course, for non-Brutes/Scrappers/Tankers/VEATs/EATs, the health cap is hit at around +600hp. In any case, should fortify the Fire/WP Scrapper well, bringing them to health levels of most Tankers and by extension boosting their regen.

In truth, the /Sonic of the Defenders could be dropped for whatever they wish, and -Res would still be immense.

Two /Mentals also means the team has good psionic damage, which can help against certain AV's godmodes.

I am thinking more like a regular team, so each 5 (or 4) members will get used each others play style and can come up with tactics for hard challanges. Think about Fantastic Four and you can understand it better.

I am saying 4 incase this idea will become reality after Going Rogue thing so 4 will cover all the basses needed without 5 ATs but probably it will feel like shooting a fish in a barrel (Tank/Controller/Brute/Corruptor).

I did not intentionally pick no hero AT's, it just came out that way

If it's "unbeatable" rather than max-efficiency, I'd have to include an empath in there to be honest. After playing almost only CoV for a few months now, doing a LGTF with my vg on my empath troller, it was so ridiculously easy, empaths are still the best thing by far at stopping things dying, and with any amount of other buffs (from pains/thermals/sonics), a team finds itself never dying despite any obstacles.

So my team would consist of:

2 Sonic/* Defenders
*/Thermal Corruptor
Empath of any kind
Ice/SS tanker (to maximise use of resistance buffing)
3 Fire/Fire Blasters.

I think that team would see few problems in terms of team damage, with the majority of members at the resist cap with 2 healers, probably the best tanker primary for agro management. AVs would take longer than teams with more rads... but with 2 sonic siphons, a Heat Exhausta and a Melt Armour, not to mention 3 fire blasters wailing on therm (coupled with the minimum risk of death across the team), they shouldn't cause many problems.

I'd say 8 fire/rad trollers DO go a long way since you pick leadership pool on them all, but sure, a stone armour tanker is nice to have around for any alpha attack anyway.

..but really any 8 ppl used to playing together playing the alts they like, that they've buffed up will take on anything in the game as it is at the moment. Yeah, sure for "Master of..." runs you might have a few specific builds with you but for the rest I stand by my statement above!

...also; I love my new Android phone! (HTC Magic). I HAD to say that!
