So you know what they have planned eh? Are you allowed to give a SMALL hint/teaser about one small future update? Go on! you know you want to start an epic speculation thread on a monday! xD

Such information would be waaaay beyond GR's remit, he is utterly powerless to divulge any titbits of future info and could neither confirm nor deny Its said existence without emails to and from the States signed in triplicate.

Shhh, When in doubt go for the reverse Psychology angle

They said something along the lines of "we're looking foward to something special from the 5th......anniversary" subtlety obviously not being a prerequisite of press releases.

To answer that, we're (those of us not working directly on the MA) working a lot of things for Issues 15 & 16, upcoming booster packs, Spring/Anniversary events, Veteran rewards, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok, he didn't mention the year... but if it's for the year 2048, then they could just wait 3 decade to announce that the had, in fact, worked a lot on Spring Event, and then show us what wonderfull job they did.

Note that it says Spring/Anniversary as one item in the comma seperated list. It could easily be the 5th anniversary event which (I think) is still in Spring.

From this part

[ QUOTE ]
We acquired 100 percent of the IP recently, so we have some major plans for City of Heroes for the future. Again, for this year we’re going to be doing regular updates, but there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on around City of Heroes, not for this year in terms of new releases, but certainly in the next couple of years.
An interesting statistic in terms of City of Heroes, because we track these things to see how the players enjoy playing the games, shows that the average duration of a City of Heroes player is 17 months, which we’re pleasantly surprised at.

[/ QUOTE ]

it seems they knew content wise it wasnt going to be a good year for COX in 2008 but more of a buildup/transition to 2009 onwards. Hope the gamble pays off!

Let me see... a professional working under a NDA. How likely is this person to want to lose their job?

Answer: Not very.

Demeaning comments and snide remarks only make you appear foolish.

In fact, the only person I see flogging a dead horse - more accurately a stillborn one - is you.

Do you really, really, REALLY think that NC are going to break their NDA just because you demand it? If you believe that to be the case, you've utterly lost the plot.

Yes, we all want more information. We're greedy players who want to know what's coming. I'm not saying that there's anyone here who wouldn't love it if GR let something slip. But the fact of the matter is that his job is undoubtedly worth more to him than the demands of someone who has no idea of the things that are coming.

Stop flogging that poor stillborn horse, Shockwave. Please. All it does is +1 your post count to absolutely no use at all - because there are those of us who understand that GR cannot tell us everything we want to know, because his contract expressly forbids him from doing so.

My suggestion, therefore, if you want to make your point to someone who can actually do something about it is for you to send an email to Positron, detailing your grievances and explaining why you are the only voice he should listen to regarding information release to players. But please, stop spamming the forum with the same request time and time and time again, when you know that it's not going to be listened to - oh, and it's not going to be listened to for one reason, and one reason only: Your choice of phrase and the comments you make about the developers and communication from NC absolutely guarantee that they won't pay the blindest bit of attention to you on any matter at all. So craft a polite request of Positron, explaining everything, and asking him, politely, like one human being to another, to escalate the information release. If you are successful, then you will have all the respect I can give. I doubt that means much to you, but it's all I can offer in this impersonal world of the internet. And frankly I, personally, would rather have the respect of other people than be known as someone who rants and rails uselessly and constantly for months at a time, when actually being civil might get a better response.

I'd be happy with anything other than the usual veiled "there's big things to come", that has become real stale over the last couple of years.

Will I be issuing my Gold Plated Premium "I Told You So" business cards this year to all those who have openly stated that the Dev team will fall in the face of Champions Online and DC Universe Online?

to those that are moaning about the fact that the valentine event this year is a copy of last year how many of you would be happy to see the yearly events replace 1 or 2 of the issues because something would have to be removed to make space for developing new holiday content.

1 or 2 issues displaced by a decently updated event? Why not go the whole hog and ask if we'd like to see NCSoft, then the entire global economy, go bankrupt from the massive resource drain?

Ahhhhh, the penny drops! So the new winter ski slope was the reason behind the current recession!?!
