Ganymede?? Valentines event on live now?
Are ye going to keep referring it to Spring Fling?
It sounds like some bizarre local village Slinky Throwing competition (along the lines of bog swimming, cheese rolling etc, etc)
"Around these parts we loves a bit of Spring flinging we does. That there's Inbred O'Shaughensey, Champion Spring Flinger for the last 5 year"

It's having 6 fingers that helps him flings it so far...
May I interject just to point out Spring doesn't begin until March 20th (usually on the Vernal Equinox)? If anything is being flung it should be Winter...

He's obviously been watching Mean Girls.
We're (mostly) not American, GR. Quit with the US terminology.

Which is why I've been quite happily pointing out that the Anniversary event should be in Spring...
Mind you, maybe one of the menders flung Spring backwards a month and a half. Can't trust these temporal-twist-paradox-a-gogo types.
More likely, I guess, that the people writing the announcements for the Valentine's event have the same (i.e. terrible) grasp of seasons that most people seem to have, and think that winter ends around Christmas/New Year.

Realistically, how many subscribers will we really lose due to not updating the Valentines event who would have stayed if the event had been given a couple of new bits?
[/ QUOTE ]
I was talking about a scenario (and my greatest fear for the game) of any potential Dev complacency (in updating the 'Big Three' yearly events) driving away Veterans of 2 years of more through apathy, not singling out the Valentines event against the greater development gameplan.

In that case , Halloween '08 had new elements and Winter '08/'09 had some new bits; I don't see a pattern of complacency setting in just yet . What I do see is that in terms of gaps between events, the largest gap is between Spring Fling and Halloween, with the gaps between Halloween and Winter, and Winter and Spring both being quite a lot shorter (and the Winter -> Spring gap including a significant holiday period).
