So following on from the awesome sing along thread...

What are you characters theme songs?

The thing that plays in your head, when they do something totally heroic/delightfully devious?

Ah this old chestnut of topic...

Well for Ed, since he's the only person I know whose gone from villain to hero to villain again and the fact he sees himself as of Paragon Cities major villains (not to mention it references his 'signature' power of Touch of Fear) I have him using This

Sadly Amy was going to be using Indestructible by Disturbed but Annette has already pinched that, plus it doesn't fit her fun loving personality and I've got no idea what theme tune would fit her...

Edit: Yeah just going through youtube...I think Word Up fits her fun loving personality.

Apercu. For backside-kicking, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, but that seems to work nicely for her in general.

Sera. She'll join your century, but only for a rare occasion.

Bela Cielo's a hard one. She like paperwork, not being shot at and having nice samples pre-prepared to work with, not having to wander into rapidly freezing sewers to collect said samples. I guess, really, she's in over her head.

As for Doctor Mechano: Enough said

Don't really have a song for Myria. We'll see.

In your dreams, I'll still be there with all the days that never came.
And I'll be just a story.
That's ok, we're all stories in the end...

Yeah, as has been mentioned, I kind of grabbed Indestructible by Disturbed for Nitoichi. (I'm going to get the story written soon. Really.)

War Crow gets Adrenaline by Gavin Rossdale, because that's why he does the hero stuff these days, fun and excitement.

Though rather melancolly for him, The Islander by Nightwish has sort of become Jason Caine's theme.

And for Velvet Vengeance... hmmm... I Don't Need a Man by the Pussycat Dolls?

Coldest War,
Jack Crowle,
Cowgirl Authority

War's had the most change in the songs I've used for him over the years, but I must say that one still fits him the best. Stuck between east and the west, commercialism and his old ideals. It's just a perfect fit. Crowle could have any of the VP songs as his theme, but that one seems most appropriate these days. And Cowgirl Authority's still looking for her fugitive. Probably for a long while.

Bassai/Danny is definitely Stinkfist - Tool (Probably NSFW, in some senses...you have been warned)
Ignoring the sexual side of the song, it's about being so unable to feel anything, you resort to extremes. Something Danny has felt numerous times before.
The lyric that seals it is "How can it mean anything to me, If I really don't feel anything at all?"

Melphon/Joey is Born For This - Paramore as it easily covers being in a band, and the fact he's finally coming to terms with being a hero.

Culpeo/Gabriel is Like Toy Soldiers - Eminem. A former Government assassin, he saw his friends turned into enemies, murdered and killed for no reason, and he had to watch them "all fall down".

The others I still need to think about...it's harder than I thought!

They have none?

Though if it were descriptive songs, best I can come up with is "Girls just want to have fun" for Rosalin Thorne

Oddly enough, that'd usually be the Imperial March.
Playing mostly Controllers and Tankers, the slow and steady but unstoppable force feel of it seems to fit.

An other one would be "Ride of the Valkyries" (or was it flight?)

*grumbles about the direct links being unusable from work, but then realises that most bands/songs wouldn't/haven't meant anything to him, and shuts up*

Heh, I have posted the themesongs of my chars before, but in a thread that wasn't meant for it...

But here goes!

I have themesongs for 2 of my chars (so far).

1st is Darth Delicious aka Dee Dee:
Robyn - Be Mine

2nd is Cloudwatcher aka Jon Winchester:
Foreigner - Hot Blooded

I think for those who met the toons in question, the themesongs are quite clear!

But for those who don't know them:
Dee Dee... has a thing for Richard (Shadowe)... "You never were and you never will be mine" since he's engaged to Cassandra Zero now.

Jon... is known to try and talk girls into bed... "I'm hot blooded"...the song is quite suggestive...

Edit: Ooh, just remembered I had a temporary themesong for Mike Johnson too. Since he's been getting drunk lately...because he lost his wife, kids and sister...that connected to a really sucky past... Hinder with Bliss (I don't wanna know)

Edit 2: Oh and Fans..that song "Creep" is, I think, a perfect song for GG's haha. It's the GG's themesong!
Here is a link to the original version.
Radiohead - Creep

This is where I fail due to listening to Windows Media Player everytime I play a character. I pick the music that suits what I'm doing but hey here goes.

My Brute, Sanguine Petal no idea why just seems to fit the fact she rarely looks back and will charge headfirst into danger. *shrug*

Oh dear god now need one for Leah, any help those that know her/how she acts?

I have two!

This one's a bit cruel, but it is a cute video: Airhead

And the nicer one: Hyperactive

Both by Thomas Dolby, yes, I'm showing my age and roots - I wasn't always a heavy rock fan.

Richie Stacker, the Crazy Dragon (ignore the lyrics!)

Gemma Stacker, aka DJ Stacker

Fio Mancini, aka High Tide

Patsy Crusher

That's all I've got so far. >_>

Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

Tricky, this. A couple spring to mind for Liberty Girl, given her current happy place - either A Lovers' Concerto by The Toys or the Spector-esque Born To Be With You by Dave Edmunds

We Care a Lot by Faith No More is probably a good fit for Firearm.

And Sweet Dreams by Patsy Cline does a reasonable job of summing up Doctor Bindweed's relationship with the everyone else that lives on Earth...

And Lulu Laine might have BB King's Ain't Nobody's Business, or maybe John Lee ******'s Bad like Jesse James.

Thanks for that FireFlight track, CD. I rather liked that one.

And Tyger... you soppy so and so.

(Not that Dan isn't a soppy so-and-so too.)

Man, music is such an inspiration for me when thinking up anything to do with all my toons but my main in particular.

I have actually made a play list on my MP3 player of songs that I see as suitable soundtracks for members of The Dunelm Group and the group as a whole. 2 tracks per toon.

Leon Tasker - Filter "Hey man nice shot" and Greenday - Wake me up when September ends.

Filter's track is good for scenes of Leon in combat where Greenday's track is good for Leon when reflecting his time in military action, in particular the moments when he would like to put down the weapons forever.

Adam Dennison - Fratellies - Chelsea Dagger (For the fluffy purple cloud chicken dance!) and Franz Ferdinand - Outsiders

Chelsea Dagger is just for a joke. When ever I make Adam do the Fluffy Purple Chicken Dance I can't help but think of this song. Franz track seems to suit Adam's character overall.

Do Lo Might - Godsmack "Touche" and Finger Eleven "One Thing"

Both tracks match Do Lo's desire to help others after he was helped after his mutation. The Finger Eleven track though also focuses more on his reasoning to be a hero for his young son.

Steel House - Curve "Hell above the water" and Rage Against the Machine "Fistful of Steel"

Both sound electronic at times which suit the toon. The Rage track is obviously there just on the play of words alone.

Iron Works - Prodigy "Spitfire" and Audioslave "Cochise"

Spitfire suits Iron Works in combat scenes. Really Cochise was only picked because it is now known on the Ironman soundtrack and, well you look at Iron Works and....well gets a bit obvious really! Good track mind.

Eleven - Stemm "Face the Pain" and Shinedown "I dare you"

Hell! My main toon here could have a 2 disc set soundtrack all to himself! One disc with various bands and artists and the second disc instrumental pieces from a number of orchestras.

For these two though, Face the Pain matches Eleven's Rage in combat while I dare you is Eleven's real main theme song. If (when) I get the toon on TV, that is the show's theme song without question.

The Dunelm Group - Muse "Knights of Cydonia" and Alter Bridge "Rise Today"

Muse's track is cool for a big group combat scene while like I Dare You is Eleven's main theme song, Rise Today is unquestionably the theme song for The Dunelm Group. I have listened to that track many times now and it still gives me chills when I hear it.

Oh and hello again all. If I do not catch you in game before it, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and All the Best for the New Year.

Faith No More were much better once Mike Patton took over vocals Great song either way though!

Great choices here...I'm doing my best to think of more but failing miserably.

Ok, some more!

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride And Joy is now for Joey/Melphon. He'd be singing it about his guitar, and SRV is one of his idols

Lust For Life - Iggy Pop is for Ms. Demeanor, my low level Mastermind. She loves life, and she takes what she wants, when she wants.

We're Not Alone (Remix) - Peeping Tom is for Kahi, my new Mutant Tanker. He's a newly awakened mutant, and firmly believes all mutants should stick together with each other..."We're not alone".

I Just Wanna Live - Good Charlotte is for Blitzfreeze. She's still young, and she's an up-n-coming hero. Everyone's asking her stuff, and she just wants to get on with her life!

The theme for the Unity Vigil would be Machinae Supremacy's 'Machinae Prime', but the song isn't on YouTube. Dang.

Zorielle Rolando's theme is Yoko Kanno - The Snow Princess, while Zortel's theme is Machinae Supremacy - Dreadnaught.

Alraune's theme is Sophie Ellis Bextor - Take Me Home, which is not only fitting, but Bextor is the only person I know of who could even come close to playing Dinah.

Fusebox would have either Pornophonique - Take me to the Bonus Level or Machinae Supremacy - Player One.

Number Nine has only one definitive choice, Scott Matthew - Lithium Flower. The GITS: SAC OST gives us marvellous things.

Rushmore of course has only one choice too. Rick Derringer - Real American.

Juan Ross would have Death Cab For Cutie - Soul Meets Body.
