Put simply... because the only winged character I have, uses Angel wings, and she's about the only winged character I'm ever likely to want. I find wings rather cumbersome and don't like making characters with them. (OTOH, when I stuck some on Glory, who had existed since day 1 of EU launch, they really, finally, made the character.)
I don't, really, like wings.
If they were to add some rocket packs or something, I could get behind that.

...and in regards to the rest of the costume, I'm sure it'll look much better on anything but Huge, especially Female.
And in different colors. The blue really doesn't fit there.

Though, in regards to travel-related things in general, what we really need most of all is a Parkour travel power. Even if it's numerically slower/worse than all other travel powers and only comes as part of some Natural-themed (lol) booster pack or something. Currently a Natural toon has to run about with Sprint, or add a lick of Tech to themselves with rocket boots or something.
Sigh, engine limitations.

Only on the condition that they actually LOOK like comic book rocket packs, like the Rocketeer, and NOT those hideous Raptor Packs.

I personally would love a slightly reskinned raptor pack perma on one or 2 character, it would enable me to make specific costumes I wanted for ages (and no not anything like a sky raider - heck a recolourable raptor pack would be enough for me). I would like a Rocketeer style one as well though. The great thing is they could animate them the same for both SJ and Fly meaning that they can be jump packs as well!
Valkyrie armor... sword... shield... would look totally frigging awesome imo!
When I saw the valkyrie armour all it reminded me of was some high tech dragon dude!

All this time i have spent partitioning the hard drive on my mac (and i failed miserably at this task) so that i could eventually put windows on it, just so i could run CoH. Now they decide to bring this out after i have just bought a *BRAND NEW* PC for xmas! (which left a burn mark in my wallet)..

Sigh after they release weapon customisation, shields and all the other weapon loving, now they release 'Paladin' armor and rename it Valkyrie.
I mean, scale mail come on. whats next? chain mail and sg tabards? Maybe wizard robes? oh wait... theres the magic pack coming too....
Since the game changed hands it seems the devs have been doing everything possible to follow in WoW and Warhammers footsteps, weapons, shields, magic pack, this and pvp revamp.
Im really tired of it when can we have some stuff like sheaths and holsters that we been asking for, for god knows how long? What about some good old sets like we used to have before weapon customisation was out? how about some mutant parts? more hairstyles?
At least the cyborg pack was different, now we got two upcoming WoW armor clones :/
Theres plenty of hero and villain type things that could be done. Theres no need to go making cheap knockoffs of other games armor this is the reason why ive left other games before.
Cyborg pack? WoW-like? Give me a break! They are tryuing to please as many people as they can. They've done a pack based on cyborgs and they have one based loosely on norse mythology. They're doing a magic style pack seeing as it's one of the origins. They'll be doing a spandex style modern hero pack as well apparently. Some you'll like, others you'll hate. Don't buy them!

I like the idea of a Valkyrie costume pack. It's got gorgeous pieces in, from what I can see, and I'll be happy to pay for it, just as I did with the Cyborg pack. If people want it, they can pick it up - it's hardly going to be 'over-priced'.
CoX isn't big on 'chargable expansions', and LOTS of free content comes out regularly (or at least, 'regularly enough'). I'm happy that they charge for additional/optional extras. I get them because I like them, and the prices don't bother me - and no, I'm not 'minted' in the slightest.
Keep up with the optional extras!!!

People have been asking for robes like the CoT have since the game launched. People keep moaning that the population is too low, then people moan when the Devs give players what they ask for. It is true, you can't please eveerybody

I'm starting to think it will be fun to see lowbie toons holding much more teleport powers than attacks or defenses... imagine: Pocket D, Base TP, Ouroboros Portal, Vet. "Assemble the Team" (in just a few days), and, next spring, this "Valkyrie Mission Teleport".... LOOL!
5 different teleport powers! Besides the ATs with Recall Friend - Teleport - TP Foe, or WS inherent teleport... DOUBLE LOOOOL!!!

I don't think "extra packs" are WoW-like... just think the Cyborg one, or one it hasn't been mentioned yet, the Wedding Pack... I can't see elfs or trolls or giants running away with their bridal veils moving with the breeze xD.

As this costume set is intended as part of the Mac release it won't be out until then. I wouldn't expect it to be available for purchase before then.

Superbooster Mystic set, all huge collars and robes and proper trench coats for all the Dr Stranges, Mandrakes and trench coat brigade heroes out there.
Superbooster Savage set, for cavemen, mystic lands etc Your savage land people, time traveling Conan and Red Sonya peeps and of course who can forget Captain Caveman.
