From a villain side perspective its basically the same as using Ouroboros to get from any zone to any other (except the two lowest level ones, that are rarely needed after lvl 30) except it requires zoning once instead of twice. And it looks cooler.
For fly/jump/speed animations I would suggest: camera stops and stays static while character jumps/flies/speeds off, fading out. Teleport could also have a "summon small portal, jump in". A "jump on a bike, drive off" (one of MM thugs already has a bike for his entrance animation) or similar could also be possible, if strange in some places.
For travel destinations I would suggest the spots where base/ouro teleport dumps you.
I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

Though on a serious note I agree with the idea of having it as a higher lvl gain, it makes sense that at a higher lvl you would have better control over your travel powers so a considerable boost would be logical.

Just was thinking tho about which zones would be applicable per transport, would it make sense to have the areas that the war walls connect to? or would that still bring problems i.e multi zoning to reach a far zone or would it be more prudent to have a bunch of zones more akin to the PTA lines (green/yellow) ?

..In addition I would like a teleport animation of an elevator that comes up out of the ground 'Bill-'n'-Ted style, you enter before it switching to a cutscene of your character inside listening to MusakĀ whilst /em,waiting - before the doors going 'ding' and opening for your exit.
Why would someone who could fly take the train? Why would someone who could teleport take a ferry?
These questions have been nibbling away at the back of my mind ever since I first played this game.
So I propose inter-zone travel powers. They could work something like this;
Upon selecting a travel pool, say flight, you would select the various powers as they come available to you (Hover, Flight, etc). Upon reaching some arbitrary level, 30 for example, you receive a call from your starting zone contact. Cue mission. Once completed you now automatically gain the inter-zone travel power for that pool.
Once gained in order to use the power you must first have your regular travel power active. So once your flying you click the IZTP and a dialogue box pops up with the list of zones. Places like the Shadow Shards, Ouroboros and Cimerora will still need to be accessed the usual way. You pick your zone and you are treated to a brief cutscene of your toon hurtling off into the distance at supersonic speed.
Upon arriving at your destination you will appear at (or above in the case of flight) a train station/ferry. The actual station/ferry will depend on where you traveled from. The power can be used once every few minutes to avoid possible misuse.
Just for fun I thought I'd detail the little cutscenes.
Flight: You see you toon rocket off into the horizon accompanied by a sonic boom.
Super Jump: After a brief primer, with one bound your toon will leap across the zone until out of sight.
Super Speed: After a quick primer, your toon will vanish in a streak of light, like a warp trail.
Teleportation: Would be similar to the Pocket D teleport animation.
