Lol! you should have been hireing new recruits while i was off :P

Hey all it's been a while but I'm finally back in the game, with the death of my 360 and an extra day off from work for the next 4 months I've got a lot more time on my hands so figured now would be a good time to come back to the game (especially with the pre-order bonus for going rouge being around ).

Anyway hoping to see a lot of old faces still around and maybe a few new ones too as i try and plan some regular events for the defiant server like robot rampage and i might be able to plan some new ones as well.

Guess all i can say now is see you guys in game.

hehehe, i definitely remember noobing it up back in the old days by adding extra slots in to brawl and sprint! upon reaching the 25 region i made sure to get my respec

Also remember my first character and his power choices, can't believe i picked mind/empathy and expected to do serious pvp with him, talk about big mistakes >_< oh well he's still my favorite character anyway

Hey all just pilfering the net at work quickly since i still don't have the net at my new place yet, but after much thinking i will be leaving CoH.

Although i love playing this game and am looking forward to the upcoming expansion ill be leaving due to time issues, as some of you might know i have a very demanding job and have very little free time for MMO's anymore. The final straw for me was missing out on my own hami raid thanks to work making me finish late, by the time i got back from work it was already a good bit late and i needed to pack up my pc so i could get ready to move the next day.

So with 4 years under my belt and with a heavy heart and loads of fond memorys i shall say laters and not goodbye on the off chance that ill be able to come back to the game at some point in the future when i have a less time consuming job (which wont be for a while since i really like my job) I also want to say thanks to the echelon too since they where always there to help with my social events that i always ran, you guys are awesome. Good job all! It might have started off a bit quiet but we finally got some raid action after beating up the helpless wildlife for a few mins and although we didn't beat our record, at least we managed to match it

Tune in 2moro for round 2 at 8pm once again meeting at Talos island train station hopefully we can best our server record!

Well good news for all defiant players, Rikti RAGE will be on Friday July 17th at 8:00pm we finally get another attempt at beating our current record of 2,3 ships in one sitting from the last raid attempt.

All those interested are expected to meet at talos train station and should expect to have fly in their build (or second build) or to pick up a temp jet pack from the shadowshard, otherwise they wont be able to keep up since group fly is horribly slow and very unreliable. Also if we have time we can take a crack at the rikti mothership afterward too for some more rikti stomping action

That's right sign up time, as we all know the key to a successful raid is a solid plan and some well structured teams.

But first the date. The raid will be on Thursday the 30th at 8pm, so make sure to be there at 7:30pm!

EoE gathering will be on at Sunday 19th + 26th at 7:30pm

The Teams!

Leader Team (Masterminds) The job of the mastermind team is to sit behind the pillar in the north and out of sight to prevent aggro, once done they will send in a steady stream of pets to grab hami's aggro, the two kins will be providing speed boosts so that pet recharge is high and fast enough to do this.

Yellow Teams
pretty identical to the yellow teams from the hero raid The team make up will be brutes and stalkers, their job is simple and to beat the stuffing out of the yellow mito's while hami is being distracted by the mm pets. This time 1 buffer and debuffer will accompany the team while an extra buffer will sit back with tp and rez's waiting in case they are needed. One more thing of note, this will be the only team that will need EoE's since they will be in the line of fire, however this wont exempt all raid members from bringing EoE's.

Assault teams
New change for villains these 2 teams will take on the greens first followed by the blues. Team make up is preferably Dominators and Corruptors for their high ranged dmg ability as well as hold powers which will be needed to hold the green mito's so that they're shields drop and make em easy picken's, although if struggling to make up team mates i can easily let the groups let in the odd brute or stalker, however they will have to hold the aggro for the group. Finally last note a healer will be needed to stay in the back lines with TP and Rez's at the ready.

Well that's the plan and team make up's done, now spread the word on the global channels so we can get an awesome raid team together As usual if your interested note down what your characters name, Archtype and powers you have and what your team+ position of choice would be. The example being X-16 Robot/dark mm raid leader please

If your friends can't access the forums feel free to post up for them too or get them to give me a shout at my global (be warned my job keeps me from playing allot now so don't expect an immediate response), however priority will be given to those that actually come on the boards to make they're request.

Virgin would be fine if you live on your own, but if you had read my initial post i have at least 2-4 other house mates downloading, streaming and playing games too.

Hey all going to be moving house soon which means i now get the chance to switch to a new ISP since I'm fed up with virgin and with how much it sucks with online games... What I'm looking for is something that can comfortably handle not just CoX but also games like left 4 dead, gears2 on the 360 since you need a good connection to actually be able to compete on those games, while also dealing with the odd housemate or two streaming/downloading on the network.

For alternative ISP's I've heard of Be* broadband since it gives good upload as well as download speeds according to the website, however i don't actually know anyone who has it so if anyone here has actually tried Be* broadband it would be good to hear some reviews of it or of any other decent ISP's that you don't hear of often.

hmm was kinda hoping for more responses from the public on this so i can only guess not many are interested?

now that uni's over i have finally the free time to invest in gaming again, however the only problem is my job which only does the weeks rota one day in advanced sooo first off how many people are interested in doing this and 2 what day+ time would be best for all? If we can get these things sorted ill try and use one of my holiday entitlements so that i can take the day off and with this hopefully a step in the right direction for monthly hami raids
