Your character as In-game lore

I'd probably accept, actually. I already try to tie most of my characters to the game lore (hence why most of my villains have been based on existing enemy groups), so this would be quite an honor. Sure, it'd be sad not to be able to SMASH stuff or RP on the Colonel anymore, but as long as he'd be one pain-in-the-backside of an AV to defeat, I'd be happy.
[Edit] Getting all those badges again on another toon would be a pain though!

Of course i would have to see what kinda mission my character is in first before allowing it to be beaten up on a daily basis. But would almost certainly like it to be part of the lore, would be interesting actually trying to fit it into the game that made sense.

I would consider it an honour and accept. It helps that the toon i got in mind of that (namely my namesake) allready reached that spot where i dont have much for him to do anymore.
Plus I can always make a child of version.
It would depend on who but I would most likely accept. Theres a couple I wouldn't want to lose

Hmm. I think I could maybe spare one, so I'd accept but it would take a long time to decide!

I think it would be kind of cool.
I mean once you've hit 50, got 500 badges, fully IO'd and then fully purpled a toon they tend to get left on the shelf a bit.
I know exactly which toon I would give over and I'd want him to be a lvl 50 contact in RWZ giving out missions to bag a few gerties.
I'm with GG. Being a one-character person - not a chance. I have no problem with him being written into the game's 'lore', (i.e. history), but not present day, NPC control.

Technically, you don't have rights to your character. I checked that IRT Architect missions, - any content you upload to NC sites/create in-game IS THEIRS, unless prohibited by law, even then you automatically grant them license to do whatever they want with it (but you can do it to/// In theory, anyway.) They expressy permit fanfic/fanart as long as you don't get money from it thou.
Of course, IANAL, and suspect that if it really went as far as the court, things could go either way... But, well, I doubt they'd do.
Actually, you're both right and wrong; we've gone over this several times in the past few years...
What NC have a right too, is the free but non-exclusive rights to USE any and all character designs, backgrounds, concepts etc you create, in perpetuity, without needing to make any payment to you, or to seek your permission in advance. BUT, they do not take OWNERSHIP of said character designs, backgrounds, concepts etc. These remain yours and you can do with them what you like EXCEPT deny NC the right to also use them as they wish.

Well, I'm not as dumb as to argue with collective wisdom of the /all... And I suspect that's about as much as they actually could/would bother to enforce in 99.999% cases anyway. But EULA itself is more broad than that, even if parts of it requiring total transfer of copyright have dubious enforceability from my lay point of view... (Not going to test that, of course, and again IANAL, do not try this, etc.)

I dont play my main Tanker, Chief Centurion Z1 all that much, but I still bring him out once in a while. The PB and WS parts of him likewise...
Tbh, if you can still play them, Id much prefer that. Seeing as even the Devs get to use their characters (afaik?)
A very tough one indeed, but it would be so cool XD Id love to get one of those gold titles, mind.

If Scarlet Shocker was honoured enough to effectively become an AV in the best game in the world EVAH I'd jump at the chance (but I'd probably do a respec on her and then an inf transfer to my other toons

It would be an honour to go up against her on villains side but frankly I don't know I'd ever be able to do that... there's something kinda twisted about getting a bunch of people you hardly know and then beating the [censored] out of your favourite toon who's been with you for over 2.5 years

I love the idea, but who to give up...?
Delph still comes out every now and again for various TFs, Darlis the same. No way would I give up Sic, unless I could keep the character playable, and the same goes for Booble.
At a push I would probably be able to give up Delph, he's great fun, but I could probably do without him if I had the chance of his entry into CoXlore.

My main, Phantom Blue, would like to be involved with the in-game lore. The fellow Phantoms would too...as like a secret unknown section of the Freedom Phalanx. You know, like the Vindicators.
But he could be a member of the Freedom Phalanx and Statesman becomes EVIL and I kill him, making the world safe, becoming the leader of the Freedom Phalanx!
But I can only dream...

If you could have ONE, count 'em ONE, of your characters made in-game lore, and a contact for missions (Or possibly a Hero/AV in a mission), but at the cost of never being allowed to play that character any more, would you accept?
