I wonder how much you'll be able to test missions and arcs before you open them up to other players? Like will you be able to do a walk through to check everything's ok?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure there will be a test mode, if not, you most likely can publish the story arc private and turn it public once you have polished it to satisfaction.

If there's no way to test and edit, ehm well .. that explains the many grammar/spelling mistakes I've found in the many story/mission texts. All /bugged of course.

The sad thing is, I'm already having a Zombie/Pain mastermind come into possibility purely for conceptual reasons.

The Zombie/Pain has caught my interest as well. I'm thinking about re-rolling my Ancient Lich Queen (Lich Queen was taken when moving to another server, boo). It actually suits her more than the dark (and I already have a dark/dark corrupter, and many other /darks).

I have simply one thing to say,

BARAMUKSA!

Or translated, random word I came up with to say WOOHOO!

Go for it then!, I'm not saying it won't be any good, I'm just saying that any new powerset combination that unexpectantly makes a toon unkillable will (sooner or later) get re-balanced in line with everyone else.

BaB's plotting everything these days.

BaB doesn't have time for plotting these days, to busy looking after mini BaB.

i13 looks like yet more goodness!

Mission Creator-oh melonfarming yes! Ever since this was rumoured I've imagined so much cool stuff. There's the option to be funny, dramatic, just downright nasty and more. I might have to figure out how to get on the test server so I can give plenty of feedback and get started on this thing as soon as possible.

Day Jobs-I'd always figured since heroes in COH registered that they didn't have secret identities or day jobs, but it appears so. Queue me posting something in the Suggestions forum. As for this idea, I thought it was a bit strange just assigning a character the job for where ever they log out, but now that I think about it, and the fact that each different one can earn badges...I'm all for it. Going to mean a lot of trips around before logging though.

New Powersets-Pain Domination might be good, but I don't play the villains I already have enough to go making a new one, least not til I can get a spider.
Shields will please a lot of people, and yes, I'll probably try it out if I can think of a good concept that doesn't rip off a well known American Captain too much.

New Cimerora Missions-can't complain, I like the place, having more to do there will be nice.

Merit Rewards System-I don't really understand what this will be. Are they getting rid of the current rewards system for TFs and the like, or is this going to be in addition to the existing process? Whatever it is, hopefully it won't be as time-consuming as getting the Vanguard merits.

new costumes, Patron Power respecs and Zone refinements all sound swell. I'm thinking the improvements to the Zones could include more real world advertising slots, and possibly be linked to the Day Jobs system. I'd love to leave some of my characters working at Burger King or something.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

I'm pretty sure it will be an extra thing, and I'm also pretty sure it will be just as tough as the Vanguard system

I think the Merit rewards could be interesting, as could the day jobs.

The mission creator is a bit naff really, as you are still gonna get the same old office layouts etc with everything you have fought in them before anyway, its something to keep the roleplayers happy. Creating maps could have been cool.

Extra missions in Cim is good, hopefully without the TF lag, as are any other option for extras.

"empathy" for villains is good, but personally I think shields suck, (unless you can have cool Sue Storm type ones)

I look forward to the release ( next year? ) as anything that injects new life and brings some of our SG members back is a good thing

One thing I would love to see is individual bases, with lots of options for design, not like the 2 you have for SG bases. Chakyra DESERVES her fiery hell-like cave

Zhaan, Chakyra, Fiorina 161, Aeryn, Polly Nation, Dee Pression, Shazanne, Night Jester and too many more to mention.

if its tokens you bank and eventually buy recipes with it could either wash the market for rares down the toilet or make them even more desirable due to devs placing a huge merit price tag on them

This did not occur to me. Surely this token system doesn't have the potential to get zomgrare recipes without breaking open your super-piggy bank!?
Someone /tell the farmers.

Well Positron wrote something about implementing a reward system so that people don't have to farm certain TF's for a certain recipe. If this is that reward system and if they actually mean that recipe I don't know, but it's possible.

he mentioned not wanting to make things farmable, admitedly in a different paragraph but i wonder if teh super lewt market place where one enhance goes for 70 million was really what they wanted or envisaged...

Maybe this is a way of making rares accessible to everyone, thus evening the playing field - it might even mean that more people pvp if it doesnt cost a squillion to get onto the same slot level as the "pro's"

Oh, I didn't mean that we got the recipes from the task force.
I just meant that getting enough merits might take a signifigantly shorter time than getting sixty-five million inf without farming.

wonders how they will make shields with other powers.

stone melee +shields
dual blades n shields?

this must be for some powers only....wonders.

I suspect it works by you gaining tokens in parallell to normal salvage and receipe drops and, once you have enough, you can cash them in against rare receipes (and possibly salvage). You'd still earn most of your receipes and salvage through drops, but if you really, really need one particular receipe that you can't buy for money or inf at the auction house, you can buy it with tokens rather than spending all your time farming, waiting for the right drop.
