    I've just had a hunt around the forums (first time i've logged back in since they were moved to the US!) and i can't find any of the awesome supergroup base image type threads?

    Does anyone have any ideas where such threads would be?

    hami used to be killed by pure weight of numbers...

    i liked the new raids i went on, sign up on forums, go slap hami. was good. it was quite literally like old times. except without 100+ player lag and llamaisms.

    old pvp? hm, before they wiped the hospital regen rate maybe, but after that? nah. the games a pve game, no amount of bolt on saves it or makes it a pvp game

    my 2nd titan was a bit of a shy one and wouldnt come out to play for a bit but managed to coax em out and arrest em, heh bet the zigs 'in' box was a bit full that night
  10. and from what i've seen, the doors behave differently this year, last year it seemed to be the case you had a timer and the door had a timer, so you couldnt click the same door twice inside a certain time, thus you had people doing a circuit of doors.

    this year i've found the doors dont seem to have that timer, you can click and get a treat and reclick immediately and get a trick (or treat if you are lucky!), thus negating the need for door hunting.

    but people still do it despite not being a need to anymore.

  13. ace thread, really cool to see such good base work! makes me want to revisit our base once more

    the things i like playing wiht most i think are colours and high contrast areas, i love the way you can use these to highlight areas of interest and such like.

    Re the teleporter comment, i too had this issue it felt like a waste, but after i redesigned it (telepads still take half of the base ) it worked a bit better, i did this by creating a U shape, so you only saw 4 pads at once.

    might have to take some screenies now

  16. the bug that annoys me with the workbench is, sometimes when you close the window and move you can't click on the workbench anymore, it becomes untargettable, i thought this was initially to do with the placement (it appeared in the auction house staff and i couldnt click it without clicking the staff) but after testing placing it in the middle of the floor it did the same thing

    There are 3 games studios in the UK that i can think of, from the top of my head... Ubisoft (looking for jobs in Newcastle, but also have offices in Chertsey), Electronic Arts (Guildford and London) and also Broadsword Interactive (Aberystwyth, Wales).

    there are a lot of companies, but there were a lot more, the ubisoft chertsey you mention is a purely sales and marketing /distribution arm of the company...

    my point being european nations are a lot more expensive to run a games studio from, loads of them outsource to india, china and other such countries because to retain the number of people required to push out the amount of normal content a game requires is untenable, it makes the studios incredibly expensive vs cheaper locations, and the UK is worse than most of them.

    mind one of the things im a bit worried about is that we're quite location based debuffs, so with the mobs moving so fast they could quickly escape the earthquakes/quicksands etc.

    whether this sways the decision or not i dont know
  21. point about 'wasting time writing missions', base editing is 'wasting time' making the base pretty....

    point being none of that is 'wasting time' because people enjoy it and playing the base editor and playing the mission creator...

    its only wasting time in your opinion...

    i for one would like it so that the mission creator and the base editor had the ability to have a 'universal' tab float over, so you dont miss chat or have to exit the editor to respond - it'd make onine collaboration with the editors much more user friendly.
  22. i checked the builds on my controllers and the poor grav/rad really got neglected from 45 up so he only has about 4 powers with anything not red in them, thus i moved over my earth / ff controller as she was fully slotted and a decent spec...

    so earth/ff/earth for me
