I remember the Marvel Comics 'Bar with no name'. It's a bar that villains frequent in NY. I would love an open zone bar we can enter in Mercy. I will be sure it would be better visited by Rp-ers then Pocket D ever was.

I agree with you, Liz. Especially about us needing more love.
Villains and heroes should have a dedicated RP place. For villains maybe a dark bar called the Spider Lounge
For heroes a more brightly lit bar called the Cape and Cowel (However you spell it =P) or something like that. With NPC's you can properly interract with

I was thinking that too. I was going to suggest the first Sat of each month, but that is for selfish reasons. I won't have work the next day. Which is why I asked the question rather than making a suggestion.

I have created a new channel called UVRP. It's open for all to join. normally there are so many random conversations in the ggooc conversations can get lost. So if you are interested in villian rp join the channel

If any one needs a villain Sg he could fit into with a mercy tp... The court has some room at the moment. It can fit in almost every villain and its not bound to rp in order to become a member.

We have coalitions with the 9 highest active sg's and the base is open.

If it's this Saturday then sadly I'll miss out. Shall be shaking my groove thang at Brighton Pride (and hopefully... no, no, keep it clean...) this weekend.

But nevertheless I'd be in for next month

I think this Sat is a bit too close. I have a few bits and pieces I want to do before we launch this.

Suggestion - we start on Sat 9th Aug and then continue on the 1st Saturday of every month. Please let me know if this is ok with you all, as most people seem quite flexible.

Saturdays are very bad for me. If I will be there, it'll be much later in the evening.

I'd suggest having one night in the week as an alternative.

Since the last post was 2007, I'm guessing this thread is dead and the Villain RP center died with it.

I'm attempting to revive it, and I am going to set it for Friday, 7pm onwards, BST. We'll try it weekly at first, every Friday. We've been talking about this for a while now in GGOOC and it seems that time is best for everybody. It will be RPed that it is a sort of BlackMarket/Gathering of people looking for outside help, buisness, allies, co-conspiritors, whatever. This gets rid of the 'Why are all us villains here again?' problem.
The first will be on the 1st of August! Hope to see you all there! Any questions, add them in here. Also, spread the word to any RPers you know in game. All are welcome!

I seem to be spending more evenings roleplaying than missioning, and always have an eye on the UVRP channel as well as GGOOC (which now has its very own tab, wow you guys can chat). If you see me on the channel list, I'm likely to be roleplaying either in the pocket or somewhere else like on a mish. I will always be up for roleplay in any setting.

Though surely that GG is at 9pm BST, which is why I said for 7pm BST onwards, that gives anybody at least 2 hours VRP before they can choose to go to GG. The main problem before was GG conflictions, and I thought that would solve it.

It's 9pm bst for a reason, to allow people to turn up at a time that isn't to difficult for them. too early, no one arrives.

Stick to 7pm. People will still make it. If you set it at 9 you'll lose everyone to GG.

Sorry Emp I didn't see that suggestion, the GGOOC moves to quickly sometimes (if I was online at the time). Anyway we have the UVRP channel now if you want to use it to co-ordinate a gathering, it's what it's there for.

With regards to arranging a starting point - all I was aiming for was a little structure to start with. I have had many experiances with things starting really well because everyone was enthusiastic. But when the enthusasum dies off a bit so does the activity. So it was suggested that a once a month gathering was preplanned. To allow as many people as possible to make it and keep the momentum going. This does not mean other gatherings cannot take place. If you want to start a meetup at 7 on a Friday, by all means do, you have got serveral people on this thread wanting to participate . My own concern about Fridays is that's it's the main GG night. But as you and Fans said with a 7pm start, there is 2 hours before GG officially starts.

After the last few nights of some very intense roleplay, I'd say Villain RP is very much alive - just need to get involved once and you're hooked. Muahaha.

For those of you who need a reason for your character to attend this event (which ever night it maybe ) perhaps your villian could have recieved this mysterious invite!
