Though in all honesty I think a better question would have been:

Do Tankers really need Taunt?

1) Yes
2) No
3) Flame-proof suit

personally i would've used the question:

Does Golden Girl want to see animated hair in the 'City Of' games?

A > No
2 > YES!
C > There is no 3rd option.

oh.. and /entered twice.

Oh dear... You should have read the rules. Only ONE entry per person. I hope you didn't disqualify yourself...

[ QUOTE ]

2. Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple or incomplete entries will be deemed to be invalid.

I think there are some silly regulations from the gaming commission that require competitions that are basically free draws to have come kind of qualifying question, so they ask stupidly easy ones to get around it.

It's not REALLY a competition folks, it's a free draw (not that that's a bad thing!).

[/ QUOTE ]
I thought they did it so that more people would be tempted to enter (because the answer is so obvious), thus increasing the revenue they get from the text messaging tarif for entering. But then I'm horribly cynical

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe it's as simple as the UK Gaming Commission requires you be licensed for raffles but not for "quizzes" - so that makes you both right . The free lucky dip (non)raffle snags a bunch of extra punters for Mirror Group, someone makes a hatful of lettuce through the phone tariffs, NCSoft promotes the game, and it will make one lucky winner very happy.
Everyone wins.
Except those that don't.
Which will naturally include me.

the compo page itself it states "Standard MGN Rules apply"
so i read those rules
and nowhere it says you have to be from the UK ...

also, you have to enter what Country ur from
why would they do that, if it's a UK only competition?

...

so i entered anyway

Doesn't work for me, get an 'object error' on the entry page.

---------------

hmm, eventually managed to get the entry in by using a different PC which is very odd considering they're both largely identical...

oh well, good luck everyone

The question is to get around the lottery commission rulings. Any draw without a question is considered a lottery style drawing and comes under some pretty hefty rules and regulations. Not to mention that you need to be registered and licensed to run a lottery. Add the question and it falls away from most of the rules.

Yeah - it's to prevent stuff being a lottery. There has to be some form of "skill" apparently

Don't read too much into what I wrote ... had to do it in a hurry and didn't have time to fully read the contest rules, and as the paper is a UK paper that phrase got thrown in 'just in case'. If the rules allow non-UK entries, then go for it .

Perhaps now i can get a computer that looks cool and allows me to play this game without crashes.

I'm ok with that, but surely the keyboard should be English; nothing against it just Spanish alphabet includes the letter "ñ", which does not exist on English language, nor English keyboards, so even needing a 2nd pc, as a Spanish player, I won't enter.

You know, computers aren't actually locked to the keyboard they're sold with. You can go out and buy any new keyboard you like and plug it in; or you can plug your own keyboard in! It'll work fine. Same applies for the OS. If you don't want the English version of XP, for example, reinstall with your Spanish version! Hardware is country neutral.
