What's inferno ?!!
Welcome to CoX PvP forum
Shouldnt this totally be in the Guide section?
SingStar:
"Extremists LOVE to fish to get us annoyed so we break the forum rules."
CRACK68:
"The origin of life wasn't planned either, should all life be declared a bug and wiped out?"
Lionsbane:
"You know me.Ever the realist"
Lmao this! I see IM has some followers
Ah yes the importance of not being seen.
Just stock up on reds if you wanna kill a mm with a nuke thats what i do.....however why kill a mm when theres so many other squishes to kill!!
LOL!
Not like anyones tried this on me before, what happens next if the mastermind has group tp on a bind for a quick escape?
how u mean so he can tp his mates or tp u ?
and those who dont know inferno is like nuke
Omega means that with Group Teleport the scene would change as follows:
You run in while using Aim and Build Up.
MM sees you (which he invariably will unless he is not really clever and plays in first-person view) and activates his keybind.
Just before you fire your Inferno the MM and his buddies vanish and reappear just far enough away to leave you behind with a wasted Aim and Build Up and begin unleashing hell on you.
Depending on the MM's powersets, build etc. the scene could also look like this:
You run in, Aim, Build Up, blabla.
Just as you reach your mark something goes *poof* and you begin puking your guts out while the pets give you funny looks.
Or like this:
You run in and find out you can't.
Or this:
You run in, Aim, Build Up, Inferno...
... and the MM and most of his pets are still alive and kicking (you into the hospital).
Long story short:
The sudden boom assault is not as reliable as you might think, especially not against experienced PvPers.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
Killing a Mastermind with a Blaster is all about speed, and generally, Inferno will not take out a MM who's in bodyguard. Build Up, Aim, Blaze, Fire Blast, Inferno will take down a MM however. You'll have to be fast about it, but it's a cake walk for more seasoned PvP'ers.
Simply nuking does'nt work either, sometimes you need to perform the legendary aerial Inferno.
Don't forget theres also forcebubble which could push you away from the mastermind just as your activating your nuke.
As for how to beat a mastermind with a blaster easy it's called tp foe slotted with acc and range so that the pets have further to go to reach they're master and then follow up with close up beat down pain

Once the inferno animation is started, the targets who gonna affect the power are checked in the begining of the animation (which i feel a bit weird, but this is how it works... bug??)...
Soo, if the MM can read the future and know before the enemy reach him that he will do inferno, AND he TP GROUP to another point, then the blaster will miss and all that blablabla... If not, he will apear in the final point dead.
I know it from personal experience (<3 TG, he always is trying to teach me new things, even try to teach me how to play...)

I don't know i've used it to escape from nova and thunderous blast several times although it could just be put down to good timing on my part
Let me see if I've got this straight: In order to win at PvP, I need to slot enhancements and use my powers on people?
...if I'd known it was that easy.

How do you escape from a Thunderous Blast?

Well with a 3.7 activation time and having a instantaneous movement power its really not that hard.

Pop 5 purples/Phaseshift/Hibernate/say a prayer or all of the above when you perform the "ULTIMATE THUNDERBLAST COMBO BREAKER"
PS: best and most serious way is run behind a corner when animation starts
well, maybe it is a mix between my intrinsic lagg and all that, but inferno has also 3 secs animation, and last time TG used that on me I was phased, but still i took the dmg...
But it happens continously... If u want to snipe a target, it just need to stay ON RANGE at the starting point, after the time animation doesnt matters if the enemy is in the other corner of the map (more milles away, plz), it will hit the enemy (if u dont rolled a miss, ofc)...
Or the continous TF u can see, ppl launch TF when at starting the enemy is at melee, then after the 3.3 secs animation, the enemy is VERY FAR AWAY than melee distance, and still hits...
Weird?? Yeah, I think so, almost I think it should petitioned, but well, this is the way it works (the game, as a whole, it works this way)...
Peace.
Force Bubble is incredibly easy to break with Super Speed, so that's not really a problem, and in general I hope people would'nt stop and take a breather before using Inferno, you need to use it as you're moving.
And there's a difference between animation times and cast times, DefUser.

hmm?? Am I wrong then? I dont get ur comment... isnt true that the power checks the enemies to affect whenever a power is activated??

That is true, sorry, I think I misread your comment.
As soon as a AoE power is activated, it will check all adjacent foes and do an accuracy roll, if the roll is successful, then the foe(s) will take the damage, regardless of whatever power they used a second or so after.
EDIT: And that's simply the game engine, there's no collision/escape detection.
ok its easy to kill a master mind wit a blaster all you need to do is slot enhancments so u have good dam good acc and a ok recharge
then all you do is stay some where he / she wont se you then once they cant see u and ur ready run at him while using build up and aim the in one swift move use inferno and big badda boom its dead =)
by the way though make sure u dont get seen or ull prob end up in the hosp
