Write a novel in a month! NaNoWriMo 2006 for CoH
Actually, the "enemy" in the next chapter is based along those lines (Damn I want to write now. Think I'll run notepad in the background here).

Diary of a starving (I ran out of chocolate last night) novelist:
08:00 - Awake, slightly confused, not sure why I'm dripping with sweat.
08:01 - Oh yes, the novel.
09:00 - Finished panicking about novel now.
09:30 - Writer's block making brain hurt. Cat trying to shred trousers. Stupid cat.
10:00 - Finished writing 500 words on strange cat behaviour. Writer's block gone now. Leg bleeding slightly. No chocolate though.
*hugs Stase* Cats do have this strange behaviour where they can sense if you're paying something else more attention and want it back on them. Keep going honey
As I have a lot of History work to catch up on for University, I'll be doing that instead of Nanoo Nanoo today, plus it means I can think over what's going to happen in the next chapter beforehand, rather than when I'm writing it.
The artwork will still be done though, as that takes slightly less time to create than 2,500 words.
my block continued right up until the 2 hours i was programming for and then i wrote about 600 words before my hand really hurt... 'm starting to wonder if it's not meant to be...
12,500 before wednesday? not a chance >_<
esp with Muse concert tonight..
oh, what's the addy for the TS server you guys are on?

There we go, Quilla
A productive day's procrastinating over a chunk of web updates I should be doing: 38,368 words to go with more to come later, all being well.
I think I've nailed my title too: The Heroes of H Company
It's got the word 'heroes' in it and it sounds like it could be a strip for one of those awesome war comics that got drowned in the bucket of mediocrity during 1980s by the fun-crushing doctrine of political correctness.
Phew, cracked 10k! Over quota by 400 words and I wrote today an IC PM that I can incorporate into the story almost as is. That's 500 words more, and with added descriptions with minimal effor tomorrow I can have 1000 words under my belt before coffee break.
I'm having a fun time here! How's everyone else?
37,898 words to go and my brain is now blancmange.
On the plus side, I've got another battle scene done and this was a complicated one with loads things going on at once. I'm well ready to do a more sedate, character based chapter now.
And yes, it's pretty fun so far although I daresay it'll get painful toward the end of the month
EDIT: I just put up another excerpt, this one from the end of Chapter 2.
I'm really jumping between dreadful hatred and ecstatic joy, but that maybe the coffee
I am so behind. It sucks

There's one guy who every year starts on 25th and finishes 5 minutes before midnight. There's also five who've already finished. Plenty of time yet.
I only got around 8kish words...damn I wish they chose a better month. perferably the one when I ddin't take on this crappy course. Today's stupid question was: "Which button is the one to minimize the screen."
sounds a bit like my friday afternoon class, overfiend. I'm going to take my pen drive and "do my word excerises" ie, write more story.
only at about 8k now. still mostly handwriting.. will have to get to typing it up during bouts of writer's block so i can at least get up a new excerpt. agh. and cheers for the addy, will join you guys on TS on wednesday night at earliest..
Muse rocked BTW ^_^
Next chapter's done, and the easiest to write so far. No worries for me about filling space, it was more a case of fitting everything into 2,500 words. Managed it in 2 hours 10 minutes too.
Slow going tonight, but I think I've finally managed to de-Gandalfise that character I was stuck on before.
I'll be glad to get out of Stalingrad; there are only so many ways that you can describe rubble, wreckage and ruin that's covered in snow. Two more battle scenes and a showdown and that'll be the meat of Part 1 done. Another thousand or so words to wrap it up then I can start thinking of ways to describe rubble, wreckage and ruin that's on fire for the Berlin chapters.
I currently have the dilemma of coming up with what happens at the beginning of the next chapter, after what could easily have been the end of the story.
damn writeing has been getting harder recently...been triyng to level up on CoH a bit. my main on coH is 18 and my CoV opposite is levl 50. not very even now are they?
Me and Stase took a day off writing to do things; including playing "The Wicked", which is positively mind blowing.
Just ask Hidden Healer
Damn that Level 68! Damn it to eternal suffering and pain!
1,100 more words done tonight including a nice bit of dialogue that sets up one of the core relationships.
Glad I'm not the only one struggling at the moment. The only thing that kept me going tonight was knowing that if I didn't crack that dialogue today it would put a big dent in my motivation for tomorrow.
Keep at it guys, we'll get there in the end
36,709 words to go...
Over the last two days I have managed a grand total of... 152 words. Pah. So much for getting comfortably ahead in the first week..
Dunno where my motivation's gone, I looked down the back of the sofa and under the bed, it's not there...
The Purple Party Pagan of Paragon
Globals: @Morgana Fiolett / @Genevieve Moore
Altoholic with too many characters to count now I have all these shiny servers...
To be honest, I'm not worried about completing it.. I'm up to about 5.5k words, but for me it's far more important to be writing a good story, and not some purple pose filled piece of twaddle that I'd be ashamed to put my name against...
So what if I don't finish, I'm writing a good story!
@FloatingFatMan
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

3 more words than I've done. I had an initial burst of great writing, but it's all gone to pot now.
Meh, I'll probably spend about 20 years trying to get mine finished.

If only - more along the lines of "use this system and pay us money. No it doesn't matter that MS Visio does all the same things and is far easier to use. Use ours. Pay us, pay us, pay us MORTAL..... (it gets scary around there)"

And you said you were stuck for a story?
