Write a novel in a month! NaNoWriMo 2006 for CoH
Like a lot of people have said, November shouldn't be the finish of the novel; should just be the start.
That said, I better start back on it. When I've recovered a bit more.
Will we ever get to see the fruit of your collective literay loins?
Most of our's are still in production, but if you check My link, there's links to all the rest of the Forumites and some have posted excerpts.
The usual thing to do is wait a time for the first draft to 'disappear' from your memory before you go onto the editing, so you've got a clear mind....so I'd think it's gonna be 3 months or so before any final product is done.
My excerpt is here
Stasis presented a dare which I accepted. I never got to that point of the story during November and this month I have been wroting a lot of things that have derailed my attention to my much unfinished NaNoWriMo novel.
I decided to complete the dare during this year. I did. The link is below. However, a disclaimer.
DISCLAIMER Please note that the following link will take to a part of the story that IS NOT suitable for all. It will contain graphic descriptions of sex and both physical and mental violence. In my own opinion some of the things described are disturbing. I sincerely wish that everyone takes their time and thinks if this is something that they would like to read. If no, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.
Thank you. Feedback as always welcome. (PMs work, or register to Tempest forum)

Ok, so I'm two days late. Sue me
www.bedtimereadingweek.com is running a competition in line with a certain value book store for budding novelists to write their own children's story in aid of www.bookaid.com.
Simple enough? Just upto 250 words for 2-7 year olds and it will be printed up and sold around the UK at certain leading book stores.
Terms and conditions do apply (see website) but the closing date is 1st June 2007 so get writing.
(Unfortunately I can't as I'm involved; but it's still a great chance of seeing your work in print)
