The 2nd of July is the weekend of the London Film and Comic Con (Clicky), so unfortunately I won't be able to make it, and I think a lot of others plan on going to check it out and meet up again.

Sounds like fun, I'm there if nothing of importance gets in the way.
Luska used to be quite an event in the early days. First time I did this, there must have been over 60 players in the zone and many many heals going around (Reminiscing over ).
Not got any spare slots for a level 1 death race, and if your doing the first shadow shard TF at 19:00 on a Monday then I may have to pass.
Hopefully there will be a good group to take on Luska though, and I definitely need to know more people. I've been here since the European release and I have about 10 global friends (what can I say....... I'm shy )

I'll be there if I'm home. Living in a cold country means need to take advantage of the summer while it's here so prioritizing stuff other than gaming at the moment. However, I'm not on holiday then and sunday and monday evenings are generally a good time to catch me ingame
Sounds like a good idea was chatting about some thing like this with a few other people a few days ago. And Im also organising a Huge Comp for the 1AT at the mo wich should be fun.

GREAT idea mate, how did it go today. As I have just read this post (Monday the 3rd of July) I missed out on Lusca bash, I will hopfully be there for the next one though. Looking foward to it!
Erm - If i'm reading the thread correctly it was moved to tonight (Mon 3rd July)
Can I make a suggestion for future events? I am a player who can only play during the daytime as I work evenings so how about having the same event twice in the day, once in the morning/afternoon and again in the evening. That way, whatever is going on is available to a lot more people.

So what's this all about then?
So many wonderful fun events have happened over the past couple of years on Union, we really should have more. Unfortunately a lot of people don't want to put in the effort to organise something where a lot of people change their mind at the last minute and don't show up.
What sort of events have there been before?
Death races, Hami Raids, TFs, Conga Lines, Beach Parties. Union has never been a dull place, so why not have these events more often, get the community even more involved.
So what are you going to do about it?
I have decided to organise some BIG multi-people events on Union, to occur on the 1st Sunday of every month. Starting on the 2nd July.
What's the first Event then?
A Lusca Bash! (for those new to the game, Lusca is a giant octopus found in independence port that requires several heroes to take down)
You can be any level from 1 to 50 to help take down this giant octopus, we'll have plenty of people with recall friend to ensure you get there safely and Giant Monsters scale to what level you are so you can still pitch in if you're a low level!
But I've done Lusca loads of times
I want to start small to see how well this takes off. I'm giving people plenty of advanced warning to book out their diaries so no-shows should be a minimum. And even something this simple is a good way to meet new people and have fun!

How are these events going to be controlled and organised?
Through this forum thread, and through the @Forumites global channel. Even the event grows large enough a seperate global channel may be created.
