well i dont usualy have mez protection on and do just fine, have you ever tried killin them really quick so they dont mez you or avoiding mez heavy mobs?

Elec/Dark keeps calling out to me.

Same here, although my reasonings are more palatable, but secret for now lest everyone else realise the wonders that will be Elec/Dark.

The lack of a self heal kills Elec/Elec before it gets started IMHO.

I have a strong feeling my forthcoming Magic Elec/Dark Brute will become my CoV main.

Maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up so much ...

The main thing going for electric melee is possible reduced endurance cost due to the drain, and the teleport-nuke (I bet its aoe is small though). I doubt the end drain is sufficient to make a sapper attack, but would support a Power Sink sapper attack

Or Hover, Recall Friend, Teleport, Self Aid (the way I'm going). I just wish ED hadn't removed the option of 6 slotting hover.

Then I have to decide between Leadership and Fitness..since I've already picked 3 pools. Could it be that by slotting the first three attacks with END Mods I dont need Stamina. I suspect I'll probably take stamina and respec out of it at 35 to take tactics.

Elec Armor looks pretty complicated to play IMO
Its like playing Half Dark/Half Energy but without any heal nor any defense...really difficult.

...but well,we dont know the numbers yet(do we?).If the numbers are as usual 22.5% resist and so on I really cant see the benefits of this armor that compensates the obvious lacks.
Resist based sets really needs a heal because they get hit and the regen is not usually enough.Defense based sets(but could use it anyway ) dont need it since you are not hit and your unslotted health regen is usually enough(not to fight an AV of course).
So they have taken dark armor low-tier powers and energy high-tier powers and in the middle has changed a heal for +spd + recharge...how does this help to damage mitigation? Well +recharge is +dmg since you can use your best powers more frequently and applying the 5D theorem (Dead deeds dont do damage) this is more protection but its so slightly noticeable i dont know how to play an elec armor...i mean,if youre a */fire brute(and this is the protection a I see on elec) youre a scrapper,you are a big bad evil flaming bunch of damage and you cant take it well,you know it and handle with it....but "What If"(tm) you dont have a heal?
Now I see the situation:
"Come on man,get into the room.Youre the tanker"
"No,i am a elec brute(put fire here if you wanna).I really cant tank against 15 purple...really.Really im closer to a scrapper than a tanker"
"Bahhh...nonsense,get your evelish [censored] inside that room and start smashing.thats what brutes do,no?"
"Well,yeah,but I think i couldnt even survive the alpha.We better pull a little group"
"Pull? a brute? ...shame for you and your archetype!Penitentiate!!!"

When youre squishy and ppl thinks youre the juggernaut things tend to get complicated so I...finally...got absolutely no clue how an elec armor should be played.

After playing an elec/elec blaster for so long, I tend to throw caution into the wind and run into the 15 purples anyway.

Open up with Thunderclap, and people generally get the idea where your 'brute' is heading

Hmm...two end drainers. Cool. I might not go for the fitness pool at all with this brute and also ignore the patron powers too.

Hoping to make something pve / pvp balanced, but it's staying upstairs for now.

I was thinking of keeping stamina as well as both end recovery powers, but not slotting any endreds in attacks. I usually run with 2 endreds in my shields though. I would take Conductive Shield much earlier.

I am planning on 3 slotting Health to make up for the lack of a self heal.

Power Sink might benefit more from 1 endred instead of the 3rd endmod, if you are down to the last mob.

Power Surge will probably want 1 acc and a couple of hold durations for when the power goes down with its EMP.

Am I the only brute who can't live without 3 acc/3endred in each attack? I've always wondered why I was different. (All attacks have 3 acc and 1-3 endred atm). How do you live without it
Ah I'll try to play/hit with different slotting on an elec/elec brute when I7 hits.

Even with 2 + acc you are going to be well over the accuracy cap for most mobs. 3 +acc would only be useful in PvP and against the occasional +3 boss with +def powers.

Once they get the 2 endrec powers electric brutes shouldn't need endrecs in thier attacks.

people have benn complaining about elec armour not having a heal, "how can they survive without a heal!" i hear them cry, well i say to them energy armour has no heal yet they survive, i'm also pritty sure that some scrapper secondarys don't have heals either( though im yet to check)yet they are considerd to be very survivable, i know that most are deffensive secondarys but still i belive my point is valid. If you still disagree and belive that elec brutes will be dieing avery five minutes, well im sure you will never be happy about anything. Also i would like to point out that at low lvls you can get by without shields anyway, i have got a brute to 14 without using any shields or heals so there

I'll have to do some test runs with only 2 accs then, could swap them for some rechred or damage. And I forgot about the end drain effect on elec/elec so nevermind that comment.

Probably insanity, but we have several End drain powers. Can we get by without Stamina? I'm going to make a snap decision at 16 based on how things are going. If needed I can then get still Stamina by 20 or 22, but if not I'll go for something like:
