On sober reflection, Wonka's Wild Whistlestop West-Country Wheeze may actually be a seriously economically bad idea. As such I have decided to abandon it on economic grounds, not health and safety fears.

Right folks! We have 15 days left, and we need to know exactly WHO is coming and what types of food you'd like.. We did come to a tentative decision earlier than everyone likes steak?
We're at about 20 people I think but we need hard numbers NOW!

No chance of persuasion. I have had my slightly more insane friends say that it is a bad idea in terms of the huge expense on magic-make-car-go-liquid. The actual concept of driving down and back in the same day is not considered insane by them except for the fact it shouldn't be attempted on my wages.
Now if someone was to suggest something closer to Scotland, say even Manchester... In maybe the latter end of the 2nd week of July after I'm back from Norway...

I said that particular week because I already have the time off booked thanks to my Norway trip, so I don't have to worry about work making it difficult to get down. But if we can arrange a mutually acceptable date for all, I'm sure you might get to catch a glimpse of me at some point...

Only thing of note is that we are both veggies so Steak is out for us. (Feel free to chew on charred corpses yourselves though. )
Will have to arrange time off before I can give final confirmation, but should be good to go.
If you can put up with being surrounded by a bunch of carnivores, I'm sure we can put up with a couple of carrots!
