Bristol Comic Expo: The Second RL GG meet up
I for one am staking my claim, and saying that yes, this time, I will be there.
Fear!
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
We shall most likely accomodate Jen, Paul and Gid with rides, as we have a comfortable big car, so count Niall and myself in as well. :-)
Okay, forget everything I said on GGOOC, if Andrew Wildman AND Simon Furman are going to be there, so am I!
I don't care if I can't afford to eat at Uni in a few month's time.
I live very close, so i don't see why not.
I intend to be there... If people are within an hour of Maidstone, and need transport... I have room for up to 4 more in my Vectra...

10 so far roughly...
I think we'll need a big table for the dinner. Speaking of which, I say something western, without the scary vazhilok part that came in our bento boxes last time.
But the scary Vhazilok stuff was tasty...
Me and J are maybe's, planning 3 months in advance is definately a foreign concept to me.

I'll just point out that Jen and I in the front seats will be comfortable. Paul, Gid and Stef in the back may be a little more cramped.
And we can plan three months in advance because otherwise we never get anywhere.
Disclaimer: The above may be humerous, or at least may be an attempt at humour. Try reading it that way.
Posts are OOC unless noted to be IC, or in an IC thread.
Jen and I are in, most definitely! And Stef, you're forgetting that Jen's got a nice shiny car of her own! So we can also provide automotive transport, should anyone need it!
I'll eat anything that used to be an animal, really. There are plenty of non-scary eastern dishes you can eat, without scary Vahzilok or Kheldian parts in them! Although, if we want western, that's good, too. Italian's good, as is anything steak-like!

Car! Car car CAR!!
I mean, I know we've never had the car with us, but come on, guys!
Well, I know Jen has a car, but why pay double petrol if we can easily fit 5 people into Bertha? ;-)
Not surre I'd be staying for dinner, as I think busses stop running from Bristol to here fairly early, and Glastonbury is the opposite direction from Bristol than from you lot to Bristol, so...

Comfort!
Seriously, though, can you imagine packing bags for 5 people AND Jen's wheelchair into the landrover? Doable yes, but not at all practical.
You'd be surprised, mate, you'd be surprised :-)
Doesnt Jen fold up like her wheelchair?
I think you need to get your money back, paul.
No confirmations but... i might be able to make this one.
Yay, Reb!
Oooh! A Reb! *bounce*
A Reb? Cool! Not met him yet! And Ghost's planning to come too!

where do you think i perfected dark's attitude?
*Mutters to self*
Yesss.... get them all in one place to put them in special edition collectors boxes... but then I can't play with them ;-;...
Getting quite the little band together. Steak sounds good to me too!
As long as it was saying "Mooo" 5 minutes before ending up on my plate... I'm a happy flesh eating bunny!

By the way FFM, does your offer still stand of a lift up there, from the Worthing-ish area? I'm more than happy to put a few quid towards petrol in return.
Yup.. It still stands... Worthing is just a smidgeon under an hour from Maidstone...
Might even take you back home afterwards!

After the resoundingly fun success of our last meet up in Brighton at the Comic Expo, it seems only good to do it again, and with the Bristol Comic Expo happening on May 13th-14th, best to start planning away!
I will be attending, currently waiting to see what Network Rail gives me as a ticket price before going.
Rooms at the hotel the con is in are £53 a night for Single and £68 double, according to the website for the convention www.comicexpo.net , and tickets for the convention are currently £5 for a single day and £10 for both at the moment until mid march time.
As last time, a planned dinner will probably happen somewhere, so discussing that can be done as well, taking into account peoples various tastes.
