Keldian Form Invention Origin Enhancements

I find when slotting the form powers there is no set that i'm completely content in putting in. Dwarf for example i could go with resistance but additional endurance would be nice too. Turns out being in form cost about as much endurance as having a single shield on so i have added Endurance reduction to the idea. I offered some quick suggestions, have fun with the idea.

Examples for Novas

Grand Conjunction
1 ToHBuf/EndMod
2 FlySpd/ToHBuf
3 EndMod/FlySpd
4 ToHBuf/FlySpd/EndMod
5 FlySpd/EndMod/EndRed
6 Enhance ToHit Buffs

Ancient Lineage:
1 ToHBuf/EndMod
2 FlySpd/ToHBuf
3 EndMod/FlySpd/EndRed
4 ToHBuf/FlySpd/EndMod
5 Enhance ToHit Buffs
6 + Perception

Examples for dwarves

Luminous Spirit
1 DamRes/EndMod
2 EnhJum/DamRes
3 EndMod/EnhJum/EndRed
4 DamRes/EnhJum/EndMod
5 Enhance Damage Resistance
6 + 10 res to Negative/Stun/Knockback

Syzygy
1 DamRes/EndMod
2 EnhJum/DamRes
3 EndMod/EnhJum
4 DamRes/EnhJum/EndMod
5 EndRed//EnhJum/EndMod
6 Enhance Damage Resistance

Hm... not a bad idea. What would the set bonuses be?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure, I was going to wait to see if there was any positive feedback before played with more numbers. Please pass ideas my way maybe we can make something the devs will run with.

Sounds like a good way to squeeze more fun out of Kheldians, I'm all for it. I think the set bonuses should revolve around adding resistance to endurance-draining, ToHit debuffs and recharge-slowing since those effects are the most annoying to my Kheldians.

I believe that a Kheldian Gold Standard should be based on SO's, and for anything above that... there's Platinum!

I agree, I was also thinking of resistances Vs common Keld foes. You would figure after getting jumped by a void every mission on your way to 50 you would get a little more resistant to their attacks (reflected through set bonuses of course).

It looks like a great idea. I'm all for more IO sets, they're plenty fun as they are for other ATs. To have something specific to Khelds is good because I don't see them "fixing" kheldian slotting any time soon. So, more bang for your buck, if you've got to blow the slots you might as well have something worth putting in them.

So these would presumably be exclusive to Kheldians, right? Yay, yet more drops to reduce my chances of getting anything I can actually use on most of my characters. Also, would you also suggest a set exclusive to the villain epics, for the sake of fairness? Though I dunno what you'd make... Taunt/damage for omega bomb, maybe, though that'd be useful to tanks and brutes too. Tohit/defense/recharge for mind link, though that'd be good for anyone with vengeance and for empaths with fortitude.

That said, cool idea.

Good point, though frankly they'd SELL nicely on the market, presumably, to people with khelds.

I'd prefer at least one smaller (say, 4 piece) set. Slots are already at a premium in a multiform Kheld. (And IMHO, way too much jump in the dwarf sets.)

Nothing wrong with a well rounded set for Kelds, at the same time there could be 3 or 4 sets for each form. I have toyes with my War Shade a bit and personally I love the idea. I have all IOs in him but no sets, it would be nice to get set bonuses with my slotting. Maybe even an Ultra Rare set

I just think the shape shifting powers are unique enough to merit this sort of attention and thank you.

Can't...see...any real flaws with that. Although yeah, less +jump in Dwarf Form, more focus on end mod and end red I'd say.

Not too shabby, overall, and maybe add in a few 4 slot sets.

Not a bad idea. I'm not certain if we really want to add a true AT specific set of IOs into the drop tables (the new recharge-pet and accurate-x IO's are at least usable by a couple of powersets across several ATs), but I'm not totally adverse to it either.

Personally, I've always viewed the Forms power themselves as more or less designed for being franken-slotted.

Nova:
Efficacy Adaptor - End Mod
Efficacy Adaptor - End Mod / End Reduction (and a +1.12% hp bonus)
Adjusted Targetting - ToHit Buff
Adjusted Targetting - ToHit Buff / End Reduction (and a +2% damage bonus)
(optional)
Blessing of the Zephyr - Movement
Blessing of the Zephyr - Movement / End Reduction (and a +3.13% ranged defense bonus)

Dwarf:
Efficacy Adaptor - End Mod
Efficacy Adaptor - End Mod / End Reduction (and a +1.12% hp bonus)
Impervium Armor - Resistance
Impervium Armor - Resistance / End Reduction (and a +2.5% recovery bonus)
(optional)
Level 50 Common Resistance IO
Level 50 Common Jump IO

YMMV of course

It's actually a valid point. I'm wondering if instead of making it 100% Kheld only, it should be of a Form/Power Up type and be allowed for a few other powers. Also, a 4 part set might be a little better both for the drop table and allowing a little more frankenslotting room.

Also, it's weird but I'm wondering if it would be good to allow the forms to use the pet recharge IOs and allow the buffs to apply to the team since a Kheldian's inherant is based upon teammates.

Maybe they could make it an AT specific drop so you only get it if you ARE a kheld =)

also /signed, because it sounds cool and i like it, and if it makes playing khelds more fun then yay, cos i do like the concept but i can't stand having to be really squishy and ranged untill lvl 20, which is probably why i never got my PB or WS past level 16ish.

ps: whats up with the status protection obsession, dwarfs have major status protection. I'm guessing it's for people in human form? because it's not like blasters have status protection.

Actually, what if there was a high drop rate from Voids/Quantums?

Nice idea, actually.

One thing I'd be weary about, though, is adding sets that are only usable by 2-4 powers. Making a set so specific like that seems a waste to me, when I think future sets could make use of a 'shape shifting' type theme. And Granite Armor is a type of shape shift too so why not let it be usable for a power like that too?

Now I want more sets that shape shift. Now they'd be able to do the forms right, making the customizable from the start
