Quote:Don't worry the dev's have something in place. At no extra cost. You can get from 18 months to 72 with no problem. Just wait for it. The vet reward system is not new to CoX.I have been playing with a lot of people that have been in the game less than 18 months lately and an idea came to me. I wonder if we could be given an option in the in-game store for people to buy up their veteran status. For a small fee (say 19.99) someone could increase their veteran status to the most current setting. I think that allowing everyone in the game to possess all of the veteran abilities would be a good thing at this point.
Started the game with out vet rewards, I have a second account with little to no vet rewards, I feel the difference. Still I believe Veteran Rewards should be earned. New players have some advantages we did not when the game started. Alot that we have now they did not have to wait for. Let the new players wait for their Vet Rewards. -
I agree, at same time i can afford most of what I need, I was thinking of the new player base. When I entered Ultima Online and Ever Quest it was late in the game and most items were way outta my price range. I honestly would love to see this game thrive. That is where my greed comes in I want a large player base.
-
Oh I fully believe this isn't the devs fault. And the same farmers spamming our in-game e-mail are contributing to it and clogging my e-mail box. Greedy players play a part as well. I personally sell all my stuff for a lil lower than market average hoping to drive the trend downwards. I find it troublesome that the are those that play the market, find items sold for cheap and sell em back at a higher price knowing some impatient fellow or lass will pay it.
-
I'll agree as things are money does not really leave the game often. I can't help but think there has to be a solution. The current situation makes it advantageous for folks to farm and the farming in turn worstens the situation. Example farmers farm pvp drops, so the devs lower the drop rate, the only most folks are going to ever get a single PVP set is to farm pvp, PVP non-stop or pay some fellow on line to give 2 billion to each of 6 characters so you can purchase 1 set! I have overheard conversations on teams where people new to the game are expressing interest in building a pvp and often enought I have heard players state that it depended on how much they were willing to pay on the character.
That was of course an extreme yet truthful example. This carries true for purple sets, numinas on down.
What value does an item have to sell for to be worth selling? The price does reflect the demand there are often set recipes I can't sell for 10 INF. It would be nice if my choice of melee sets was not limited to something greater than crappy but with in my price range. There are sets no one really wants. Would be nice if say for melee IO sets you had a choice of 3 sets that were equal but different & if the cheapest of these sets sold for 5,000 and the most expesive sold for 100,000 I don't feel as though the game would be cheapened at all. -
Prices of posted Items at the market should be bumped down weekly (or bi-weekly) by 10% taking an item no lower than 30% of the original posted price. I have played other MMOs and when I came to COH I was very excited that there was no market to inflate. Time has past and that to has changed. I remember how hard it was entering a game that was new to me only to find the market inflation had place much far beyond the grasp of a new commer.

I agree as it is related to and peppered with referances to Dual Pistols this is where it should be for now.
-
Find a way to fit:
Bullet Time, PBAoE, Foe -Speed -Recharge, Self +Speed +Recharge -Interrupt Time
and i'll be happybut no need to force a redraw in the case of pistols just allow for it as a possibility in the animations that involve punches. With MA now you can alternate some of the animations into punches anyway. So to avoid redraw the user would have to avoid these alternate animations. Build em in or we deal with the redraw. In the comics and film there are many types that shoot a man 1 second and hit the guy behind em. If we are going to imagine a martial set lets allow for a few cowboys, cops etc that aren't going to have the time to perfect their round house kicks before going out on the trail.
I guess they could build a Martial Set that could animate as either a punch or a kick decided at costume screen. Build into the punches animations that wouldn't force a redraw of Bows, Rifles or Dual Pistols. This would make me very happy but I imagine there efforts currently are focused on the items they have on plate for Going Rogue. Still I imagine we would all love some variety of this Martial Manipulation idea. -

But admittedly how I would invision this would be:
1 - Jab, Melee, Minor DMG(Smash), Foe Disorient
2 - Crippling Axe Kick, Melee, Moderate DMG(Smash), Foe Immobilize, -SPD, -Fly
4 - Punch, Melee, Moderate DMG(Smash), Foe Knockdown
10 - Focus Chi, Self +DMG, +To-Hit
16 - Hand Clap, PBAoE, Foe Disorient, Knockback
20 - Cobra Strike, Melee, Minor DMG(Smash), Foe Disorient
28 - Bullet Time, PBAoE, Foe -Speed -Recharge, Self +Speed +Recharge -Interrupt Time
35 - Dragon's Tail, PBAoE, Moderate DMG(Smash), Foe Knockdown
38 - Knockout Blow, Melee, Extreme DMG(Smash), Foe Hold, Knockup
I like this idea because it seems like a nice mix between controls and natural melee types -
Quote:Creepy Mu/Ghost hover sprint Nice idea. I want. After that would be magic. Last time we mostly got wizardy type things. Next time I'd like to see more of an undead theme, with see through skeletal pieces. Maybe a long robe that covers your feet, and the travel power could be a version of sprint that makes it look like you're hovering just off the ground as you move, like a ghost. Oh, right, not robes. Well, other ghostly looking stuff anyhow.

Perhaps unresistable damage was a lil over board maybe ignores so a percentage of damage resistance, but please toss ideas and critiques forward. Maybe i can hone this idea into something palatable. When Heroes gone Rogue comes out it would be nice to distinguish some ATs with similar heroic/villainous counterparts from each other at epic levels (tanks/brutes, defenders/corruptors etc) by no means are my suggestions perfect but I imagine with the combined creativity of the devs and the player base something awesome could come out of this idea.
Maybe a simple boost or additional effect given to the inherents once the player reaches epic level.
Also I love giant robots so the robot mastermind pets combine idea would make me very happy -

We've been asking for this under several names. They don't even have to add terminals just give existing items more abilities. Like the terminal that sets up the CoP or base raids could be used to set up arena/MA stuff, and the raid teleporter can be used to send people to those locations. Please!!!

Owww target dummies like in RWZ that you could beat on for no other reason than to do it

Quote:I just think the shape shifting powers are unique enough to merit this sort of attention and thank you.So these would presumably be exclusive to Kheldians, right? Yay, yet more drops to reduce my chances of getting anything I can actually use on most of my characters. Also, would you also suggest a set exclusive to the villain epics, for the sake of fairness? Though I dunno what you'd make... Taunt/damage for omega bomb, maybe, though that'd be useful to tanks and brutes too. Tohit/defense/recharge for mind link, though that'd be good for anyone with vengeance and for empaths with fortitude.
That said, cool idea. -
Imagine if you would access to a tier 10 power for you toons primary power set, unlock-able at 45 or higher. Specific for power set and AT, so a stalker wouldn't have same tier 10 as a scrapper with broadswords.
Examples:
giving a katana stalker a heavy attack so sharp it ignores resistances
giving an electric stalker an assassins strike that he could "bolt" in from a distance
giving an electric scrapper a power that allows him to charge a foe with a DoT dealing attack that also strikes the foes peers
giving tanks with electric armor a toggle or click that allows them to feed endurance pool partially with hit points
giving an illusion controller a power to create mirror images of self to fool foes both pvp and pve
giving a robot master mind the ability to sacrifice his pets to merge them into a robot elite boss (this having the disadvantage of less pets to share his damage pool with while in defensive).
The more I think on it the harder it becomes to come up with an unique power for everyone, yet the idea appeals more and more. This would also allow similar AT like tanks and brutes to become more unique (More so that just the differance granted by the AT inherent power) -
I did look through forums to see if this was suggested and I did not see it in the first 5 min.
My idea ad a room in base (Training Room) where you could place an Arena Terminal, a Mission Architect Terminal, a Mission Architect Gate and a Trainer. The trainer could be named and designed by base leader and provide same services as any other trained in game (Choosing Titles, Leveling Up etc). -
I have to agree, as much as i love MM the idea of a thugs/kin mm both makes me smile and cry. It would be a unbalanced.
-
I agree, I was also thinking of resistances Vs common Keld foes. You would figure after getting jumped by a void every mission on your way to 50 you would get a little more resistant to their attacks (reflected through set bonuses of course).
-
[ QUOTE ]
Hm... not a bad idea. What would the set bonuses be?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure, I was going to wait to see if there was any positive feedback before played with more numbers. Please pass ideas my way maybe we can make something the devs will run with. -
I wonder why we don't also have a jet pack option. If ur tech any ya fly you should be able to have a jet pack as a costume option.
More options are needed. -
I find when slotting the form powers there is no set that i'm completely content in putting in. Dwarf for example i could go with resistance but additional endurance would be nice too. Turns out being in form cost about as much endurance as having a single shield on so i have added Endurance reduction to the idea. I offered some quick suggestions, have fun with the idea.

2 FlySpd/ToHBuf
3 EndMod/FlySpd
4 ToHBuf/FlySpd/EndMod

I imagine hami raids will change a lil with this added dynamic.
-
I'm excited, I had hoped for years for a chance like this! I honestly thought it wasn't ever gonna happen.

I really think Villains need more zones and Villians really needs more Strike Forces. My heros side base can fit 23 beacons but my villian base only needs 8. I think sharing some of the hazard zones would be a good start. This could provide a chance for more co-op content and allow for some villian only mission. The villian only mission being the real reason they are there to turn the zone right under the heroes noses. But the heroes are slowly having hazard zones repaired. Also I like the idea of opening crotoa to both sides the conflicts there are bound to hold villianous interest. Run the reg missions together and have a villian "why we are really here" arc. And a hero "What are the villians up to?" arc.
Could easlily add Strigia, Creys Folly, The Hollows, Eden and the Shadow Shards to the list and boom i need another teleport room for my villian base. As well as develope some villians only content. I like the idea at the beginning of this post of invading a small country or 2. That would also give us a new foe in the for of established militias and scattered cells of freedom fighters. Seems like something Recluse would do. -
