I almost feel bad

So, my contact gives me the mission, "Disprove the Warrior's Invincibility" in Talos Island. I fly around a bit, and everywhere I see a Warrior, he's getting his heinie kicked by either the Freakshow or the Tsoo. Sometimes even by other Warriors. Many of them are begging for mercy in the NPC dialogue.

Frankly, just looking at what's going on should have been enough to convince my contact that they were no where near invincible, and I have to wonder, should I be arresting these guys, or saving them?

..........ok, so it's not just me then.

I often find myself pitying the Warriors on Talos.
I'll often find myself stomping on the Freaks that seem to take such delight in tormenting them, only to of course also face the wrath of the Warrior in question.

It's like my own personal version of a Paragon City domestic violence intervention

I find myself pitying them with a good ole fist to the gut.

Yeah, Warriors' main 'criminal activity' being getting their lunch money stolen was a long-running joke in my old SG.

Yeah I've always wished there were some good Warrior arcs in the game. They have a kinda cool background, but no exciting stories. They are just sort of a forgotten group, more or less.

Have you even played the midnighters arc with them in? That final mission in their arc is . . . . . . . . . . ambushy with a flavour of carnage

hahahaha I laughed at the OP. I never realized it until he said it, but yeah, they're pretty sad.

Pitty really, before Ouroboros, they were pretty much the most dangerous melee faction in the game. Their bosses are broadsword scrapper-eque deadly.

I've been complaining about this since the game launched. I once managed to get War Witch to promise to look into balancing things out a bit when there was time, but time is a premium, so...

It irks me mostly because the Warriors are so obviously a homage to the movie, and they're presented everywhere as tough natural fighters. Except on the streets of Talos Island, where they're a bunch of wussies.

It's especially teeth grinding when they say something really Casper Milquetoast like "Please! Take my money and go!"

Alright, it doesn't exactly keep me up at night but it's still annoying.

Which one is this? Is this villainside Midnighters? More details too. I like the warriors, and do agree it's hard to get a good impression of a villain group when they're being bullied all the time.

Nah, the Vanguard are much more deadly.

Yeah, on that one you'd think he'd just give you a camera.

My scrapper doesn't need an AoE. She IS an AoE.

In a bit of shameless self-promotion, might I suggest my arc #175660, "The Heart of Talos?" It's meant to wrap up a major Warrior plot point that just sort of gets dropped without explanation in the 20's.

Also, if you like ambushes, I second trying Mercedes Sheldon's third arc. The plot isn't too complex, but you'll get to see a lot of tough melee fights and some relatively complex mechanics.

Funny, I just did the first arc of Mercedes' last night and had an interesting time trying to escape with Amanda Gates as server shut-down was imminent. With 10 minutes to shut-down I got whomped by yet *another* ambush and had to do a hospital run (with no travel power) back to the mission, through to the 3rd floor, find Amanda, *and* fight my way back to the entrance through the remaining ambushes!

Long story short, I made it to the exit, completed the arc, got 7 Arc Rewards, salvage, inf, xp, and levelled up! With surely seconds to spare I managed to get Detective Dan back to the nearest PPD station so I could log him off for his Day Job badge!

Whew!!

There was quite the bit of tension playing against the clock like that and I'm looking forward to any other arcs of Mercedes'.

When the heck are we gonna fight Odysseus?

Sounds like Mercedes saves all her good arcs for the heroes, "Dead Man's Deck" rather sucks for something that just gives a copy of the Ring of Pain for a temp power souvenir.

I'd like to see a Task Force...no, a Strike Force that revolves around the Warriors and ends with a fight with Odysseus. I only say that it should be a Strike Force because it could fill one of the holes in the villain Strike Force chain...Not sure if they spawn high or low enough for either hole, though...Hrm...
