If you PvP on a low pop server and the drops are that rare than no one will have the PvP IO on the low pop server and there will not be any balance issues. I can see the main reason people farmed them in the arena is to sell them for outrageous prices on the market.

Actually, i would prefer if they fixed the exploit, as in making the mitos act in levels other than 50. But, as always, its easier to also hit those that used the mitos without exploiting then.

UM-- SO not a hardcore PvPer, but...No? This is almost as wrong as complaining because the street mobs in Mercy try to gank you as you run across the zone to a door mish.
We had exactly the same thing happen- granted, they didn't keep attacking us CONSTANTLY- mostly because we kept sending their butts to the hospital. It was actually kind of a nice break from the 'trigger the MM's bots when she drops team, stand still and melt' routine. We got a couple of good scraps in and STILL got the generator for the group.
It's a PvP zone. expect to get attacked.
The other side of that argument, of course, is several times I've gotten snarked at by folks who wanted their duels to be private, and got real upset when I crashed the party...possibly because they were worried about their rep, or their drops? Sorry, guys, can't argue it both ways. If you're in a PvP zone, you might get attacked. Deal.
Things to remember:
-Common sense ain't;
-Overkill is the only kill;
-If someone asks if you're a god, run away.

pvp and cov will never mix for me. it's just not hardcore enough and how the whole game works... it's a straight to dvd movie where other games and I'm not even talking about mmorpgs, is where the real fighting players is at. I like the pve better. I wish they'd have just had completely separate servers for it so it didn't ruin the "balance" of powers in the pve game.

Guys there is no reason to complain about PvP drops, in a few weeks there will be a proliferation of knowledge about how to get around these silly timers, I for one intend to find out how to do this.

You guys are very rabid when it comes to your pvp, thats admirable, I might add It's good to be passionate about something. Though I think your emotions get in the way of alot of things, mainly your ego. Which isn't a fault, as a pvper you NEED ego if I'm understanding your ways?
You don't seem to look at it from the other perspectives I've presented however, and do not possess the want or desire to do so. THAT being said, I'll end my part in this thread, and leave you to argue how pvp is being hurt more

pvp's last night with new patch for 3 hours straight was a 4 on 6 us on the team of 4. got a total of 14 rep out of 3 hours of steady back and forth. No one on our team got a drop at all.
Unless I am mistaken with each rep kill all 4 of us on the team get a chance, for a chance to get a drop.
As in team mate "A" kills enemy "B" to trigger rep. this kill allows each of us on a team to get a chance for a dop. butr since we are on a team that chance is diluted between us all.

We don't need a definition, we aren't the ones whining about getting attacked in a pvp zone.
But here you go
Definition: anything you think is griefing in pve is ok in pvp.
Off the top of my head here's what you can't do "legally" while pvp'ing:
-use map glitches.
-verbally assault anyone (ie racist comments).
Anything else you might think constitutes griefing does not and you are wrong.

I think the Developers will see that the drops need to be changed after a few days/weeks of virtually no drops now that this patch is live. I'd expect a patch/change at that point. It seems they would rather see the results of their most recent patch before correcting what appears to be very obvious mistakes to most forum posters.

I wish dev teams could have summits w/ dev teams from other games (at least teh NCsoft ones). Maybe learn from each other.
A PvP server would satisfy most of the complaints voiced here. If you make a toon on such a server, you'll know what to expect.
Warburg and Bloody Bay could become hazard zones. I don't mind a challenge to get something worthwhile. But if my brute has to drag a scientist along while a stalker and corr continually take shots w/out killing me, it becomes a drag.
I finally dropped my armor and stood there, letting them kill me. Took awhile but they finally asked "So uh you don't wanna fight?" Players who try such a kill are simply Pvping. If they repeatedly do it, then they are just hyperactive nuisances.
But back to learning from other MMO dev teams. My gf and I went to another game for awhile, when we got bored w/ this one. The one w/out a subscription, since mentioning names is frowned on. I was laughing when I tried the PvP there. My gf asked why. I said "This is so much fun!"
PvP in and of itself is not bad. Just the way it's been implemented and shoehorned into this game.
Im a lil unclear about the 5 min timer thing. If u kill someone and get rep, the 5 min timer starts but does it effect killing other ppl? If i kill someone else 2 min later is there a chance for a drop? or a 3rd person a min later?
