Just Where Is Freedom Phalanx HQ?

The Freedom Phalanx's headquarters is nowhere in the game. Sure, it used to be in Boomtown, but that was the old HQ.

Where is it nowadays? You can see it in the CoH comics, but in the actual game, there's no building to point at and say, "Statesmen and the gang hang out there... when they're not handing out TFs."

5 years of playing and I only just realized this. It seems like a serious immersion oversight. Devs, is it too much to hope I16 might place the building somewhere we can see it?

its under those buildings in Brickstown... All the way in the back.

you know the place right? half your team can never find it...

I always thought it was in Founders, that tall building across from the tram. But the exploration badge (Foggy) states that it's for player's supergroups. All this time, so wrong.

Wherever it is I bet the secret entrance is somewhere around M1's feet.

That's Freedom Corps.

Really, this is a question for Manticore's Cannon Fodder feature.

The comic depicts the Phalanx's HQ looking very much like the Freedom Corps HQ, with two differences:

-A Freedom Phalanx banner above the main doors

-There's some way to exit via the roof, like a skylight or blast doors.

I would wager they're supposed to be based out of Galaxy city, in that building, but like the lot of things, the game and the comic don't synch up 100%.

Which is lead by what? That's right, the Freedom Phalanx!

Not really. Statesman and Miss Liberty (Ms. Liberty's mother) founded it. Nothing says the FP is in charge of it, though. Ms. Liberty started the Longbow faction against Statesman's wishes, after all.

The Freedom Phalanx HQ is clearly in the Moon zone that we'll never get.

You can never find it because it's a hoax. The Freedom Phalanx HQ is clearly hidden within the secret confines of the globe on the Atlas Statue.

Awesome.

For my own gag answer: They don't have a base anymore, that's why they're always standing around outside. The one you see in the comics is them hanging up Phalanx banners and borrowed from SG's they coalition with.
They don't plan to get a base until raiding and the Cathedral of Pain are back, until then, they soak up ten percent of the potential prestige earned by people who run their TFs.

Maybe they keep the location secret now, after the place got trashed enough times.

It got destroyed by the Rikti when they base raided them in a PvP event, and Statesman refuses to rebuild it but won't authorize non-leaders base construction privileges.

That's also why Manticore is so rich: back when it nerfed your inf to 0 he he refused to play in SG mode, and just kept piling up influence while the rest of those noobs were just piling up worthless Prestige.

They don't need a HQ, they just stand around in the zones day in and day out training people. Hell, they don't even move when the Rikti and Zombies attack.

Well all that stuff's grey to them, no XP.

Y'know how if you look at the map, like half of the city is outside the war walls?

Yeah, that's their HQ. All of it.

They moved it to Cimerora and it got trashed by a Macedonian hoplite army.

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

So (at least on Virtue) players are having cyber-oral sex on the roof of FPHQ? Lovely.

I just assume that it's inside the same extra-dimensional space that all our SGs/VGs occupy. We just don't rank so we never have a coalition with them.

Well, in Japanese adult media, the roof of a school is generally more classical and so few people seem to make use of the universities.
