At least I said a few things differently to add to what you said so it wasn't a total waste.

I've been scooped already twice today. I gotta win sometimes!
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

I'll give you an example I recently ran into while trying to create a leveling grade for damage output/number of enemies killed/xp per enemy killed/base damage per level.
As the levels get higher you fall prey to an Exponential cascade. The higher the numbers get on even the most reasonable scale you can provide the more outrageous they become, so long as you follow the scale you set out at level 1. So as you go along you have to alter the scale, or ignore it at certain levels and -not- have an increase over the previous level's gain.
It's called XP Smoothing.
Add another 10 levels to the total and the XP Smoothing becomes millions of points of XP being shaved off each level OR You'll spend weeks trying to gain levels whilst farming. Months if you don't farm.
Add to that that damaging effects also scale, meaning targets must have even higher amounts of hit points. Soon the average minion is walking around with 30,000 HP and the big-bads count their health totals in the hundreds of millions.
For another example See: WoW
A simpler example. Getting 1 Dollar per day for a year versus getting 1 penny per day, cumulative. Which yields the higher amount?
By day 204 you've got more money gaining a single penny more per day at $204.03 as opposed to the Dollar a Day gain of 204. The longer the pattern holds the higher the amount gets.
Now apply that to average player damage in CoH and average enemy HP.

Yeah, expect PVP'ers to cry foul at this, what's left of them anyways. Super-powered level 50 enters PVP zone and own all the regular level 50. I don't see why the devs are so afraid to raise the level cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mainly because there is no practical benefit to raising the level cap.

My biggest concern when it comes to Going Rogue is whether or not Epic ATs will be allowed to switch sides.
It might seem goofy for a Crab Spider to become a hero, but I want to turn a Warshade into a Nictus, dangit!

Thanks a bunch. Now I have this song stuck in my head.
Ah well, perhaps it will finally push this one out that I have had for the past day or so.

At least you got to see David Prowse in one of his most obscure performances. That's what he gets for being so wrapped up in himself that he would spurn a lovely lady who was practically throwing himself at him.
Badges will likely be dropped when you switch sides so you can earn the new ones but if you switch back they are regranted to your character.
I seriously doubt they want people running around with both hero and villain accolades.

I seriously doubt they'd drop badges after a side switch, it's a history of what you've done and where you've been. Besides, many are available to both and some even have hero/villain versions to differentiate. Something like Hero of the City might change to Betrayer of the City or somesuch.

[/ QUOTE ]I may be a bit hazy on this, but weren't they originally specifically set up that way when CoV came out? Since the idea of side-switching predates the actual release and all.

See I would figure that you would have to earn them for either side since villain accolades are usually harder to get. Since the hero equivalent versions like I think its 10% health increase and another one that require pvp kills or arena kills. Something which never made sense to me.

maybe they could be setup to let you get the badge, but not the power?
Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.
I hope we don't have to change to a Blue/Redside AT when switching, I still want my Dominator to be a Dominator rather than a Controller.

Given that Soldiers of Arachnos have already gone renegade, going hero only seems appropriate.
And that would be turning a Warshade back into a Nictus.
