We never get dev posts on weekends. Why?
Tsk Tsk.
Why weren't you constantly on your Blackberry, monitoring the forums for those oh so precious pearls of wisdom and wit that we, the players so often unearth?

...this weekend I was about as far away from a computer as I could get... watching old Enterprise episodes...

Pretty sure that's close to "being on the computer" on the ol' geek-o-meter.

I don't think they're allowed to make fun of us unless they use their redname accounts.
[/ QUOTE ]
I heard they've all be banned from the forums already. The only accounts they have left to post with are their redname ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting.
Why?
And if one decided to start an alternate account, posting only during off-work hours, who would know?
[/ QUOTE ]
It a policy - they are only allowed to post with a red-name account. Keeps things clearer and such when it comes to accountability, etc.
As to the last bit - while nobody would necessarily *know*, it's probably their job if they are found out.

Lets see, this weekend I was about as far away from a computer as I could get: Swimming out on the sunny cali coast, enjoying parks around the bay, watching old Enterprise episodes, housecleaning that's been neglected, helping the wife cook a ham dinner and drinking wine from our trip to Napa Valley a few weeks back.
Gotta come back refreshed for another week of spread sheets, word docs, planning meetings, and especially reading the forums and PM's.....

The obvious answer is that the devs post when they work, and they don't work on weekends. Fair enough. But why? Is it not possible for them to log into their redname accounts outside of the office or something?
[/ QUOTE ]
BABs and I have been known to post on the weekend, at times, as have Ghost Falcon, Dark Watcher and even SexyJay.
It's just relatively uncommon.

You gotta watch it all the way through to appreciate it. Just don't watch the last episode and hope someday they give the show a proper ending hopefully with another season or a movie.

I avoid my work email like the plague on weekends. I can't very well imagine their attitude is that much different.

Watching Enterprise is as far away from a computer as you could get? Last week I managed to make it as far away as Apple Hill and Spamalot.
