We never get dev posts on weekends. Why?

The obvious answer is that the devs post when they work, and they don't work on weekends. Fair enough. But why? Is it not possible for them to log into their redname accounts outside of the office or something?

Maybe they just want time to enjoy their families and the weekend.

or maybe they post using normal accounts to make fun of us all...

I don't think they're allowed to make fun of us unless they use their redname accounts.

Long shot, but it might be a responsibility measure to keep a redname from getting loaded over the weekend, then logging in, seeing that some loudmouth poster is being obnoxious, and posting something horrendously unprofessional.

Otherwise, it just may be that what with dealing with this all week long, the weekends are their times away from all of it. Let's compare - for those of us who do NOT work jobs where we are on-call and expected to keep track of what's going on, how many of us check our work emails from home?

Um I remember seeing a few post from BaBs a while back at odd hours like 3 in the morning and people saying go to bed and response was up with baby before but it was some off topic fun stuff too.

I have full access to all my work accounts, but I rarely use them on the weekends unless we have a crash deadline.

Work is work and home is home.

Until the devs start working 24/7 I'll be unsatisfied.

Agreed, as someone who also has a family and can log into my work desktop form home I rarely use the option unless it's an absolute emergency....I spend enough time working as it is .

This is the truth. I work from home, and use gmail to access my personal and work email. On the weekends I log out of my work email and log into my personal email.

I say we all start calling them at home until they posting on the weekends as a preferable alternative.

Unless I'm waiting for something important, to me, the work email doesn't *exist* if I'm not working.

[/ QUOTE ]They do have non-work accounts, and based on what they've said, they do play them but not in their official capacity (i.e. no doing anything that'd out their secret identity). The GP was joking (possibly reference BaBs when he joked about getting banned from the forum for 'duping rares').

What's a weekend? The world exists more than just during Banker's Hours.
