Issue with Vet Rewards and Trial Accounts

Attention Heroes and Villains,

We’re aware of a problem with certain accounts not receiving earned Veteran Rewards and/or gaining access to certain edition bonuses (like the Pocket D Teleporter or Rocket Pack) that were not purchased, or receiving more Veteran Rewards than they should have.

Some reports indicate that Trial Account limitations are being enforced on certain characters, with influence/infamy losses occurring through player trades, sales to NPC vendors or Auction House influence/Infamy redemption. If your character has been affected, please file a /petition or file a Support Ticket through our website with your account name, character name and Server. For debugging purposes, we ask that you do not log back into any affected character.

I have been playing for 4 months. I recently found I had access to the Valkyrie and Cyborg packs. I also found out I could apply auras and capes to all newly created toons. Will this problem be fixed or do I have to do something for it to be fixed? I typed the /petition in after I read the motd. Nothing happened. I am not sure how this all works. Could someone explain to me what I am to do?

My question: Is this an account-wide mistake? Meaning, I checked the character I was on at the time I received the MOTD, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. So,do I need to check all the rest of my characters? Or can I assume I'm not affected?

You need to type "/petition vet rewards" (No quotes) You need to specify something after /petition It uses this as the subject of your petition.

You don't have to use /petition, you can use the menu to select Support. I think one of the categories is "Bug Report" or something similar, then fill in the text boxes as appropriate.

I reported this issue today via the NcSoft support page. The first response they gave me was that they needed to verify that I am indeed the owner of the account to which I am logged in as, asking to verify such things as home address, all of the unique serial codes I have on the account, what is my credit card number, etc. That seems very unlikely to be "real" support to me.

so here I was thinking I used all my respecs so I actually bought one and it was a glitch ????

I would just like at least some idea of how long this is going to keep my favorite new villain sidelined. If it's going to take 2 weeks I might as well re-roll her (she's only lvl 20), but if they are gonna fix it in 2 days I'd really rather not go that route. And since I sent in the petition yesterday, I've only received the basic auto-email they send out saying "Yup, we got your message"

I'm curious as to what will happen to people that were given things. For instance one of my characters was given 3 veteran rewards and it unlocked an extra character slot. Will that slot be taken away? If not, will I not receive one when I get the veteran badge the legit way since I already have it? What will be done to my character's costume if he is using part of the robot pack costumes when I didn't buy it?

3 days since i petitioned a character that got too many vet rewards and packs applied to it (only one character on whole account) and nothing but

would love some information on this, am somewhat loathe to play and slot up a character that may need a restore to an earlier point. Just tell me if its fine or not

I have been waiting for my 60 Month vet reward for 2 weeks.

I was supposed to get it may 16th. Nothing. Petitioned it a few times now.


When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....
I am always too busy looking for the inevitable punchline...

One charry for me as well, and for my sake, its my only level 50 on Heroside, it'd be a pain to loose her. I got no response from them either, but its only been a day since.

I'm fairly certain (crosses fingers) this won't be an issue of having to delete a character and redo them, just a matter of how long before they say "OK, we've fixed it, you can use them again" At this point its not even an issue of not being able to log them in, just that they've asked for us not to. 5 days since /petition for me and have received 2 emails from the GM's..the standard we got your Petition email, and a follow-up saying "Thanks for your patience, it is being worked on." With I15 in beta, its starting to look like it may be a while

My main character has this issue as well, reported it before I saw that it was a widespread issue. I know this must be a crazy bug to track down, but any kind of time frame on when we can play these characters again would be great. I'm new to the game, and it is killing me to not be able to play the character I enjoy the most. Anyone heard anything specific?

Quite irritating to be unable to log into a character for this long. At least the toon will certainly have a new day job badge (unless the toons get deleted or rolled back).
