I just started and it said it gave me 5 character unlocks and 2 slot unlocks. Everything was going fine until I went to unlock my mastermind. It said "you don't have access to masterminds" or something like that" (this reminds me so much of DDO and having to unlock my warforged it hurts). The problem is that after that my character was still locked but it still used up one of my unlock credits. It says now that I have 6/6 unlocked, but I only have 5 unlocked characters. Please help!

Make ouroborus one zone that both sides have access to instead of giving villains and heroes their own ouroborus. Then make it so vigilantes and rogues have access to all the content there (like flashbacks and portals to all the ouroborus portals) but make it so villains and heroes only have access to their own side's content.

If Praetoria are opposites then wouldn't Cobalt's praetorian form be good and not evil?
-
I nominate myself, Kojiden, because I'm so awesome I got banned from BMT.
P.S. Cobalt sucks. -
Hey I was just wondering what combinations are considered to be the best damage dealers? I was thinking maybe fire/kin or archery/cold. Just not too sure what the general consensus is. Not really looking for any particular kind of support like buffer or debuffer. I am just looking for pure damage output while retaining the ability to do some supporting regardless what the support is.

So I roll up a kin/elec stalker. What do I find out? That Concentrated Strike doesn't automatically work out of hide. Going to have to delete my stalker now.
So I roll up an elec/elec dom. What do I find out? That domination doesn't work with the sleep, knockdown, and confuse powers. Going to have to delete my dom now. -
Quote:Really? REALLY? The devs take the one reason I had to actually make a stalker and decided to not allow it? When I first heard of the crit thing I thought it would be awesome on a stalker because of hide and stuff. God forbid stalkers actually be good at something besides recalling friends. Might as well just reroll as a scrapper now...Also, CS doesn't automatically crit out of hide, it's limited to a 20% chance (no idea if the teammates being in range effect the chance to crit on it).

Ok thanks. I thought maybe there would be a badge for staying resistance/loyalist the entire time but I guess not.. :/

If you choose resistance and switch do loyalist do you get the loyalist badge? I assume so, but I'm mainly wondering because I'm also wondering if you get a badge for never switching sides. Like being resistance the whole time.

How to fix Stamina
No power from the power pools should be mandatory as they're just options to choose from. On the majority of toons Stamina is required. I think the base recov rate of players should be increased somewhat and the recov increase from the stamina be decreased somewhat, but stamina should be given a secondary end drain resist buff. This does a couple things. It turns Stamina from a "must have" to a "it'd be nice to have" power. Also the end drain resistance makes the power actually seem like a power as opposed to just giving you more endurance. Currently how endurance works as well as the next suggestion have always been a thorn in the side when making toons.
If everyone should have a travel power, why make it use a skill slot?
Quite simply put, travel powers is something all toons should have. So it should be a free power. I suggest making a small arc like the cape and aura missions that unlock a free travel power of your choice. It can be any one of the 4. When respecing you can change your choice. Also to balance things out so that getting multiple travel power isn't as easy now, in the travel power pools the travel power should be shifted to the 4th (final) slot so that you need 3 points in it to get it. The 4th power should become the 3rd power. You might say "what about group teleport and fly it wouldn't make sense to get group fly before fly." Well nobody really ever uses those powers. In fact a lot of people get mad when you use them. Just replace them with a different power.
Selling things should be easy
If I remember (been awhile since I played) when you put up an item you're charged 5% and when you sell it you're charged 5%. All the fee should come after you've sold the item. It should cost 0 money to put it up. Having an initial fee discourages players from taking down their item to put it back up at a lower price. Having the initial fee encourages a "let's wait a bit longer and see" approach. As said earlier.. selling things should be easy.
Now that the markets are merged, quality of life can ensue.
I think this suggestion might get some hate because admittedly this does not make sense conceptually. However I think the quality of life benefit from it outweighs that. Anyways my suggestions is to make money you earn go to your ACCOUNT instead of your CHARACTER. What I mean is that all your money on your account would pool together and all your characters would have access to all your money. If this ever happened (which I doubt but hey who knows) they'd have to get rid of the money cap though (the money cap is lame anyways since people can just siphon money to different toons). The reason this is beneficial is so you never have to log off and get on another toon then mail yourself money then log off then get back on your toon. Imo anything that forces you to switch toons then switch back is a bad thing. If you want to play the particular character you're on you should never have to log off it. -

GMs are... boring! Badge? K, get it once never need it again on that toon. Merits? Ya those are insanely easy to get. Yawn!
We need to add some spice to the mix. Make them drop something that ONLY GMs drop. Something that makes people want to hunt them besides the "Hey I need 2 more merits to do a roll can we kill a GM" moments. Some examples of such things:
1. GM recipies! We have PvP recipes, why not GM ones? Could add new recipes to areas that could use some more, like targeted AoE.
2. Temp powers! And I don't mean crappy ones that go away after you use it a few times. I mean ones that people would want because they're AWESOME. Like killing Jurassik could give you a temp power that let's you wield his godly car hammer.
3. Unique inspirations! And not any normal kind of inspiration but a super special awesome kind. A kind that would like add an -acc debuff to all your attacks or make your buffs 20% better! -
The population is high enough to be able to find teams fairly well, but it's not a high population server. Champion is like a small town where everyone knows each other's names, for better or worse.

The mirror mirror on the wall thing is a bit cliched... but that doesn't matter too much was a good video. Used a good song with the more important sections like ultra mode in the more upbeat sections. Didn't use a lot of text or do stupid things like make some sections black and white and then have the screen shake and shrink and garbage like that.
So ya good job. -
CoH could hugely benefit from cross-server teaming/pvp arena.

Lul. There's no point in sticking around the test server. I could level a toon to 50 there or just wait until it comes out on live. I pretty much logged on and looked at the animated tails and was like "FINALLY tails aren't in the belt slot" then turned on ultra mode and was like "neat, but still doesn't change the fact that the graphics look kind of dull" then checked out demon summoning for a few minutes and was like "neat but devs will probably nerf the set cause of all the -res" then checked out the new market and was like "holy crap the screen is huge, and all gray and ugly."
Done and done. Will wait for live now. -
Demons debuff.. poison debuffs.. attacks from demon set debuff.. demon also has a build-up like power for your pet (living hellfire).

With all the proliferation going on the ATs are becoming less unique. Not that proliferation is a bad thing (I agree with it) but the inherit powers aren't really enough to distinguish one AT from another. So one simple solution would be at level 6 or something to get each AT their own free pool power. Here are some examples:
1) Brute - Hasten
2) Corruptor - Assault
3) Defender - Manuevers
4) Scrapper - Boxing
5) Tanker - Provoke
6) Blaster - Hover
7) Mastermind - Recall friend
8) Stalker - Teleport Foe
9) Controller - Aid Other
10) Dominator - Stimulant
11) Kheldian - Grant Invisibility
12) Arachnos Soldier - Combat Jumping
These are just examples. The reason for say Scrappers getting Boxing for free is so they can get Tough/Weave without needing to use up a slot for boxing. Others like Provoke for Tanker is to insure that every tanker has taunt. Other ones like Recall Friend for Mastermind are just nice. And yes these would count for pre-reqs, so in the examples corruptors and defenders could get vengeance easier than the other classes. -
Something CoH is missing is some form of monster-killing competition. Something where the group that comes out on top wins some sort of prize.
I think the best way to handle this would to make it a zone event (like the zombies invasion or the rikti invasion or the flag thing). And then the group that does/kills the best gets some sort of reward other than just merits. Or maybe they get super dooper bonus merits. But whatever it is there needs to be something as an incentive for people to go "oh the monster thingy is up, everyone go to zone [x]". Which would probably mean the event would be on the rarer side. -

I never play my ice troller anymore for this reason. The problem isn't me using immobs, it's other people spamming aoe immobs like it's going out of style.

You cannot buff your pets' values except by enhancements like Edict of the Master +Defense and the like.

Unfortunately the Rogue Isles seem to have gotten ninjas from the special ed division of the ninja academy.

Quote:^ thisProbably Dark, if for no other reason than it's so good and works with anything. "When in doubt, go for Dark Miasma" might as well be a motto for power choices.
If the T3 pet is a melee-oriented one I'm probably gonna make a demon/poison and see how that works out.
