Major bug - character unlocking

I just started and it said it gave me 5 character unlocks and 2 slot unlocks. Everything was going fine until I went to unlock my mastermind. It said "you don't have access to masterminds" or something like that" (this reminds me so much of DDO and having to unlock my warforged it hurts). The problem is that after that my character was still locked but it still used up one of my unlock credits. It says now that I have 6/6 unlocked, but I only have 5 unlocked characters. Please help!

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Besides, there really is no support here. Petitions get generic responses, and when pressed just say, "post it in the forums" - and when people do, fanboys show up and say it doesn't belong.

The lack of any kind of real customer support (i.e. non-technical game issues) is what prevented me from re-sub'ing on my other two accounts.

Except in this case it's only something that customer support can fix. There isn't anything another player can do to fix this.

As for the OP, the slot may actually be unlocked but since masterminds aren't (not high enough reward tier) you can't play him. Now you could delete him to free the slot but I'm pretty sure that's something you wouldn't want.

Obvious QoL fix is to prevent Preemies from unlocking a slot that's occupied by an AT type that's locked, even though I thought we could play existing characters of a locked AT, just not roll a new one. It's one of those fuzzy things that I don't remember a red name saying one way or another.

lol, has it ever begun? Support in this game is pretty famous for its inability to resolve issues. What it is known for are GMs who do not know anything at all about the game they are "serving" nor any e-mail/petition folks who know anything but A) post it on the forums, or B) We're escalating your issue (which ends up either "working as intended" or "post it on the forums").

Usually for the major bulk of any kind of help, other players are here for it. Unfortunately, there is so much garbage in every thread that finding useful player-driven help (or the very rare dev-help) is a real chore.

I recently came back after a 60 day hiatus, only to find that my personal SG was stolen by one toon that was in at the lowest rank (was temporary, and I did forget to remove him); now, the support reply? Oh, SG's are COMMUNITY property, so sorry for all your years of work being lost... Could I know WHO it was that did it? Nope. Guess it is too much of a community property to know who the only remaining member/thief was (or is). Very professional, NCSoft. Great idea, Devs, on that whole auto-demotion thing. Makes perfect sense to have someone at the lowest rank, who was in the SG for less than a few months be able to STEAL the whole thing after only 45 days. Forget that all those others were there for YEARS.

And yet every time I have contacted Support, the issue was resolved quickly. I guess different people have different experiences and it's not 'known' to everyone the way it's 'known' to you.

Sorry, total BS on this part. *YOU* messed up so you lost the SG. Tough. The system was working as intended and as designed and it makes sense. Support's response was entirely appropriate. You're not in that SG so anything about that SG is none of your business. Oh, and there was no thief. The previous leader abandoned the SG.
