I'm contemplating rolling a new character on a high density server. Does Champion have a high player count at this point, hero or villain side? I can solo, but frankly being forced to constantly solo wears on my nerves.

It seems like a common problem with mmorpg's these days. Nobody is coming out with any new ones, and the old ones are having trouble retaining their player base.

If some people would like to roll new characters for a levelling supergroup, either hero or villain side, I'm interested. Just let me know and we can work on a group concept if you like. I generally play in the evenings and live in US. (Mountain Standard Time.)

For sheer numbers, you probably want Freedumb. But for quality players and great community events, Champion's the place to be.

Champion server is also a fun place to hang out with the crazies.

I'll always be a "Champion" at heart. My server away from home.

Horus will talk about himself in third person if Horus wants to.

As long as you don't start using the majestic plural. We believe that is incredibly silly and we will not tolerate it.

The population is high enough to be able to find teams fairly well, but it's not a high population server. Champion is like a small town where everyone knows each other's names, for better or worse.

Welcome and don't mind us, we're easily ... hey look, bacon!!!

Oh, where was I? Yes, we have a good, rather later playing population with more of a pacific time flavor than many other servers. For sheer numbers I think Virtue surpasses Freedom but Virtue has many role players (to a fault) and Freedom has many noob players and players unwilling to teach new players. In general, you won't find that here.

I don't have an overly active SG but have a few nice coalition members (and still can add 3 or 4 if anyone want to pick me up with an empty slot.) You are welcome to put a character in my SG to make a home, or until you find a home. No requirements on prestige. It's a homey base and we don't need lots of shiney stuff.

Red side can be hit or miss. Sometimes it has a great population, but others .... Of course with i17 coming with Demon Summoning, I think the first few weeks will be rather full of red siders.

Current favs: Champ: Frau Schmeterling-22 MM 50s: NOTW-Blaster, Cat-Girl Commando-corr, Queen of the Dawn-PB, NOTW-Def, Peterbilt-Brute, IcedTNA-Tank, Archilies-scrap, Mann Eater-stalk, Redemptive Soul-toller, Mt Fuji of A-Team-Tank, Hot Stuff Vale-Dom

I don't think I've heard a better analogy.

You just don't know how to play a scrapper.

Just need to do one thing.

Keep attacking and stop when you get one of the two outcomes.

A. You die.
B. They die.

In the event of B, you're doing it wrong since you shouldn't stop.

Well. While I have no interesting in forming a new SG I do enjoy the travel from 1 to 50, so if you see me on introduce yourself. I've probably got something I can latch on to and roll up in levels with you, perhaps get you familiar with Champion and a few of it's core members.

Oh and IF you do stay, join BMT of Champion.

I'm a returning player myself, and I've created toons on Virtue and Freedom, I was on the verge of giving up my hope for the game, but when I came to Champion, things turned around. As of yet, I have not once met a single person who seemed unfriendly in any way in any of the groups I have been in. As a Defender, it's one of the things you think about: you let the tank die, so now he's in your face as a "noob healer" and your playing experience starts to dwindle. Hasn't happened yet on Champion for me (and I've seen tanks die... ><).

I've also found a group pretty much every day that I've logged on, which has been fantastic because I didn't really build my toon to be a solo player. Sometimes, it takes a little patience in order to find that group, but just today I really had no troubles getting in on a Synapse TF and having some fun.

While I'm relatively unknown right now, it does seem that everyone truly does know everyone on Champion. It almost seems like a guild full of friends who have taken complete control of an entire server. Treat everyone with respect, and it seems that respect will be returned in kind in no time at all.

As far as leveling is concerned, I currently have a level 23 Defender named Zerowave, if you wanna look me up. I also created a Blaster named Hallow Hal that I'm playing for moments when getting a group seems slow (a character that will eventually be a main when GR comes out.)

One more thing, every question I've asked has been answered without "noob" being in the sentence. I still don't know what an ITF is though...

All in all, Champion is, by far, the friendliest server I've been on. In just about any MMORPG I've played.

I)mperious T)ask F)orce. It's in the Roman era zone, Cimerora, for 35+ characters. I'm sure you'll get your fill soon enough.

And it's good to hear that your experience has been positive. And feel free to pass that along on your way, if you haven't already.
