yeah it is [censored], although I am glad some of the mad grinding badges are gone, those kick [censored] names are leaving which makes me a sad panda.

the writing was on the wall for this bar none. Some people flaming away some support and some just "meh" so it is status quo. Although I am depressed I am back under 600 on my vill but. To a certain degree they did the right thing to break the grieving that was happening with HoF badges.
I'm going to miss the names too but, it's going to be awesome not having to grind for some of those badges. Woot.
And hopefully it will keep the 0-star griefers out of my arcs!

It may decrease the number, but good riddance.
I'll miss some titles and would rather the non-popularity badges had their numbers fixed instead of just being pulled, but I'll live. I suspect it's far more trivial for the Devs to write a script to revoke badges than it is to go in and edit their requirements, which may have to be done manually.

I dunno. I think it's pretty lame. I'm not a badger by any stretch of the imagination (but I like 'em) but I think the developers continual stance on punishing the players for mistakes that *they should've thought through a little better in the first place is ridiculous. Between deleting MA PLed toons, yanking badges from the 5th anniversary and the MA are all problems that they certainly had license to solve before they went live. I can understand lowering limits on or removing the super ridiculous badges, but all of them? I don't agree with it.

This reminds me of the time when we use to have stars under our names on these forums. Badges are fun to work towards to, but some of these badges are very difficult for the average player to achieve. The devs are right in removing some of the badges because most players dont feel the need to create a story archs much like most dont PVP.
An alternative could be using tickets to unlock higher level badges or those that are harder to achieve. This would really help the AE system but it still wont solve farming maps. Unless they award more tickets upon the mission completion.
